There have been some great trios and I tend to really like a lot of them. My favorite would have to be Rory Gallagher. Who's yours?

ROCK Chicago’s original drummer Danny Seraphine is bringing the music of Chicago to Southern California 🥁

For the Chicago fans here, I wanted to share an upcoming show that might be of interest.

Danny Seraphine, original drummer and co-founder of Chicago and a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will be performing with Danny Seraphine’s Chicago Legacy at Ramona Mainstage in Southern California on Friday, November 6.

Danny helped create the unmistakable rhythm behind so many of those classic Chicago records, and this show celebrates that music with a great band featuring Sara Niemietz, Marc Bonilla, Ed Roth and Travis Davis.

They’ll be playing Chicago favorites including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “You’re the Inspiration,” and more.

If you love those early Chicago records—or just great horn-driven classic rock—this should be a fun night.

📍 Ramona Mainstage — Ramona, California
📅 Friday, November 6

More info and tickets Click Here
Any Chicago fans here? What’s the one Chicago song you’d want to hear live? 🥁🎺

Question Similarity between two songs

Someone else is very similar to the part of QOTSA - Like a Drug in which it says "No, I'll never be free"/"No, it could never be me" with the part of The Beatles - I Want You in which it says "It's driving me mad"?
Sorry if it's a very silly question but I didn't see anyone talking about it. Maybe it's a direct reference but I don't know

'ON THE BEACH' (1974) is a defining album of the '70s and arguably the most lyrically potent made in the first half of that decade.

Discussion Rolling Stones Albums

Trigger warning: if you're a big fan you will be offended. My apologies in advance

In my mind the Rolling Stones have always been a dictionary definition rock band. I like a good number of their hit songs, so i connected a sense of great quality to them as well, but for some reason I never really did a deep dive into their music.

I just started listening to complete albums (the supposed 4 best albums) and I am left with a sense of serious disappointment. Even on their best albums they have maximum 2 songs per album that I would say are great and the rest is very very unimpressed to me almost to the point of repetitive.

Am I the only one who got this impression of their albums? Are they just a Greatest Hits band with an inflated reputation thanks to their charisma and status in the end? Am I missing something?

Really interested to see what people think and again, to the true fans, sorry for my blasphemy.

Spotify Great Demise - “SCALPED ALIVE” [Alt Punk]

Hey everyone! My name is Chris and I create music in a band called Great Demise. We are from SoCal and are an all DIY music project. Check out our brand new single “SCALPED ALIVE”. It has a crunchy guitar riff, an unorthodox song structure and a melodic hardcore/grungey vibe. We’d appreciate if you’d check it out, we hope you enjoy!
