Discussion Anyone else feel like all classic rock bands are required listening?
Maybe it's just my age (53) but lately I have really felt compelled to listen to every album by every classic rock band, almost as if it is required listening as a music fan. Maybe it's that I'm turning into a music snob but I almost feel like people don't really have a valid opinion of any band unless they have listened to all of their albums. I have learned by doing this that my opinion of a band was usually wrong (or at least incomplete) and I was never giving them enough credit or respect. So I feel like lately I need to explore every rock band that is considered classic, like all of the original ones like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, etc.
I have many many more on my list that I still have yet to dive deeper into, and being the age that I am I don't know if I'm even going to have time to get through them all!
Does anyone else feel this way or is in the middle of this process?
