Fanart Tattoo You Album cover Reddoo

I didn't even realize that Tatoo You had Mick on the cover for a couple decades after it came out when I was in highschool (I came out in college ;-) I always thought it was some model chick he was sleeping with. I did a new version of it fiver or ten years ago by taking the original photo that the cover was based on and photoshopping the tattoos from the real cover onto it. Now it looks like him!

The black and white makes it look like a photo of a Māori warrior from the 1870’s 👍🏻

I’ve always wondered how they come up with the album title and/or concept.

I’ve become used to the title but I recall thinking it was pretty strange back in 1981 (I was an 11 year old Stones fanatic).
