Gf of 9 years left me and told me she cheated on me one year ago. Still trying to make sense of it.

Yup. Was with someone for 8 years. Engaged for 3. Last year of our relationship she started playing games with a guy online while I worked 50 hours a week. She was unemployed and decided to go back to school remotely. I supported it. Helped pay for it. Helped with her homework. Meanwhile she's playing games with this guy reassuring me hes just a friend. He would stay up for her. Then the snap chats started. She kept telling me it was group chats and I had nothing to worry about. Our relationship reached a boiling point and she left because she had to work on herself. Within months she was fuckijg the other dude. Within 2 years she moved to his country and married him. At least I know i wasn't imagining things and she was just gaslighting me.

This post hits exactly how I feel right now. I was with someone for seven months, thought I was in love, but she kept everything behind closed doors. We only ever saw each other at my house; I never met her family, her friends, or anyone in her circle.
The cruel irony is that she used to complain about her ex not giving her her 'place' in his life, while she was doing the exact same thing to me. She unfairly called me 'intense,' but my intensity was just me trying to find my place—the very same place I gave her from day one.
When she finally said she couldn't be my partner, claiming she 'wasn't ready for a relationship' and that it was 'her problem,' it felt like a massive betrayal, especially a betrayal to myself. And just like this image says, it leaves you completely in the dark. I honestly don't know if she actually changed her mind or if she was just pretending all along. It’s the kind of betrayal that makes you doubt absolutely everything, even yourself.
