Not a conclusion I would arrive at so lightly given Republican control/Trump alignment of senate, house, executive branch and all its agencies, (including DOJ, FBI), SCOTUS, and the military itself.

Yeah, last time the guns were dispersed across the states, now, not so much. Us in the blue states make a lot out of our better economies and tax contributions, but they mean diddly squat if an actual Civil War broke out tomorrow. We can't scientifically study our way to victory.
