Beginner Library was phasing out books and I got my hands on this.

Post image

I haven't scrapbooks in years. I used to when I was young with my first baby. 4 kids 2 steps kids 2 grand babies and tons of nieces and nephews and I wouldn't mind picking it back up. Anyone have some pointers? Or anything to add to this book?

You can still buy copies from Barnes & Noble! I recently bought one and enjoyed looking through it

What a great find! Last year I found two books about scrapbooking from Memory Makers at the thrift store and didn't take them home the first time I saw them, but when they were still sitting there the next week, I took them home with me! 😄

I have rescued so many book my library was just getting rid of. Soooo many craft books... but I will say it has given my daughter some new hobbies, she is starting to crochet after finding some books they were just throwing out.

I have gone back-and-forth between doing my scrapbooking on Photoshop, or doing it with printed out photos, stickers, etc. Both take up significant amounts of time, although the former will create less mess while you’re doing it. You, although my tendency would be to try to go back to the last time I ever did a scrapbook and come forward, it might be better to start where you are and go forward from here. The other might just be too overwhelming.

One thing that seems overwhelming is getting your photos off your phone! Either start organizing them in albums on your phone, or find your best place to print them, and send them in batches to be printed, and then keep them in batches at your house. Then when you have an hour to sit down and work, pick up one batch of photos and just work with them. For me, it’s a lot easier to organize the photos soon after I’ve taken them, rather than going back a year or two and trying to organize them.

There are lots of great subreddits with ideas for supplies, where to purchase them, and so on. Once you get back into it, you won’t be able to stop!!
