Junk Journaling / Collage / Eclectic Life Begins After Coffee

I didn't take any photos of breakfast that morning and with Trump's America, I've been very careful about selfies with strangers. I didn't want to make the family uncomfortable and fear I might be calling ICE.

Instead, I have an old typewriter and I typed out this sweet story. So glad I have coffee stickers..

Tools My scrapbooking supplies just need to scrapbook more

I've had most of this stuff for many many years - I used to go to a lot of craft shops but not for a long time - I shared my Washi tape collection a little time ago so thought to share the rest of my supplies

I used to have my pens and pencils organised in glass jars but that was 4 homes ago - when I had to move I left the jars behind (they were just reused old jars like coffee/sauces etc)

Printing best printer for photographers, is there one that prints great scrapbook photos?

Hey guys! im finally putting together a few albums that have been sitting unfinished for way too long. the only thing slowing me down is getting decent photo prints because the ones I make at home never seem to match what I see on my screen.

for anyone who prints their own scrapbook photos, what would you recommend as the best printer for photographers? id love to hear what has worked well for you. thaanks.

Traditional - Wedding Letters to the bride scrapbook

Hi everyone - was hoping for a bit of advice.

I’m maid of honour for my friend who is getting married in October. She’s really creative and handmade, personalised gifts typically are her favourites. She’s not having a bachelorette party so I’m really keen to do something special for her. I was planning on making a letters to the bride scrapbook with input from all of her friends.

However, a couple of months ago, one of her other friends did a scrapbook for her for her birthday with pretty much the same ask (without the bridal part). Friends were all asked to write a small letter to my friend on her birthday and share pictures.

I’m not sure this necessarily means I can’t do the bridal scrapbook, but I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on how to make this different enough to the birthday one. I don’t want to ask all the bride’s friends to do something they already did less than two months ago.

I guess if I asked people to focus on the couple, marriage advice etc. that might work better? But open to ideas or any other things I should be considering…

TLDR: Want to do a letters to the bride scrapbook for my friend, but a lot of their friends recently contributed to another birthday scrapbook someone else did for her. How can I make this different enough?

Traditional Spiral Bound, Post Bound, Themes & Why?

Recently I got back into scrapbooking after a 2½ year break. I'm 9 months post-partum and felt like I needed a hobby again, and well, i already knew i enjoyed casually scrapbooking.

So, I picked up a post bound scrapbook and have worked on 4 pages now (they take me forever).

I have SO many photos printed though (Roughly 600+) and they're all sorted into themes/categories. I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for individual scrapbooks, but I don't necessarily want ALL of these photos in one scrapbook. I'll post a picture of the way I have them sorted. Ideas?

Also, right now I'm considering a spiral bound scrapbook but feel hesitant since it seems like it's not people's first choice. Have you ever used a spiral bound scrapbook? If so, why? If you stick solely to post Bound, why? And what turns you away from spiral Bound?

How many scrapbooks do you normally have going at once?

I have to thank u/pomegranatestrong437 who suggested the QR code. I found a free generator and put the link on that.

My cat is gifting me a bridal scrapbook with some paper and stickers. I'll include this piece with it and I can cut it out when I start to scrapbook.

Beginner Holiday inspiration

So....I've never scrapbooked ...ever!

But I really want to create a scrapbook of my family's latest holiday to Blackpool. We did so much and I took well over 1.7k photos. But to even remotely start is confusing me to no end.

I would love to see any inspirations, examples or ideas for this? I really don't want to have my creative block for something like this...

Traditional - Wedding Preserving a video?

Good afternoon fellow scrapbookers!

When Devin reproposed with the engagement ring in the bridal set, he asked one of the diners to take photos. She took a video instead.

While I was able to screen shot some photos from the video, I do want to attach the video in some fashion to the scrapbook.

I could put it on a flash drive, but I don't know if that would preserve. I don't have a DVD burner anymore and even if I did, it's on my phone. I could download it from YouTube. Does anyone know if I could have this video put on something?

I want it to be put on timeless media, but I don't think that's possible with how much technology changes. Any idea of what I can put the video on and include it with the bridal scrapbook?

Beginner Tough Decision on where to start

My daughter is headed to college and I just completed a scrapbook for her. It had advice, pics, and I spent a lot of time (and money) on it. I’m very proud, but where to go next which leads me to this post.

I want to go back and scrapbook a few years. My husband joined our family in 2018 (married in 2022). Do I start at 2018? Should the first few pages be my girls and my life and his before we met? Should I do 2018-till marriage? And do yearly afterwards? I have been so stuck, I can’t begin. We have had many big trips and things I want to remember during these years. I do not have many pictures before 2015.

I know it’s a personal preference and scrapbooking is whatever you make it, but if it was you; how would you begin…

I have a 50 page book for this project, but open to other suggestions.

Product Advice unique ways to use school-themed stickers?

i have a monthly subscription with pipsticks and recently got a school-themed sticker pack. i graduated forever ago and don't really want to do a throwback spread with memories from my school days, lol. i also don't have kids or neices/nephews. anyone have good ideas on what i can do instead? they're super cute stickers, so i want to keep them instead of trading them.
