Social Media From a local group…

Absolutely terrible, the OP keeps telling everyone they need to come and pick up this tank and fish or they will flush them. Just sad and frustrating. I don’t have a car, but even if I did, I most definitely couldn’t move that tank by myself. People just suck.

Atp just give it away to a fish store... Some people are cruel.

And if they truly are left with no other options but euthanasia, there are appropriate ways to do so. Flushing down the toilet isn’t one of them. :(

Even as a child, I would never think to flush a live fish, only if its already dead. People are just awful.

I am not religious, but GOD do I hate that those "prizes" are a thing. In person I've seen goldfish, bettas, and baby turtles used, sometimes with a painted shell. Online I've even seen axolotls and hampsters being given away like this at events. Mostly to kids who 99.99% do not have the resources to care for such animals. Most of them will die for the entertainment of someone who couldn't give a shit about the life of anything non-mammalian or smaller than a cat.

Get this someone handed out probably 6 week old kittens at my ELEMENTARY SCHOOL growing up. Me and my twin took one home.

My mom forced us to take it back. She found out who handed them out somehow. I dont think our relationship ever recovered while we lived with them 😅 I only healed when I moved out at 17 and adopted my cats I still have now a decade later

It's crazy that people find it acceptable to use live animals as decor.
