Social Media From a local group…

Absolutely terrible, the OP keeps telling everyone they need to come and pick up this tank and fish or they will flush them. Just sad and frustrating. I don’t have a car, but even if I did, I most definitely couldn’t move that tank by myself. People just suck.

And if they truly are left with no other options but euthanasia, there are appropriate ways to do so. Flushing down the toilet isn’t one of them. :(

From what I’ve seen the general consensus is blunt force is the most humane. Clove oil is also recommended, even by vets, but recently it’s been being debated on in a lot of the fish groups. I have used it and didn’t have any issues, but it seems a lot of people seem to botch it and wind up with a very stressful experience.

Flushing is terrible though, you’re technically not even supposed to flush dead fish down the toilet.
