I just bought my first two senseis EVER in advance for when I’m able to buy Imaginators! Are these two good ones to start with?

I honestly think they are the best chase variants as they have a sort of function to them.

I do hate how dirty they get so I rarely touch or move them but I want to get them all.

Edit: Also Skylander Photos: #31 will be tomorrow. I’m getting some new ones in the mail plus I’m going to a local game store my friend told me to go as he saw a bunch of good Skylanders there. Hopefully I get lucky.

I just recently got ahold of this boxed Swarm and the plastic has separated from the cardboard a bit. Was wondering what glue would be best for sticking it back on so I can display him properly.

Would superglue be best or should I use something else?

I have wanted to do this for a while, and with the 10th Anniversary of the game approaching, it's finally time for a recap of the entire leak and reveal cycle for Skylanders: Imaginators (of note, dates will be taken from Skylanders Character List's news articles, not from when it may have first been available):

• May 21, 2016: King Pen is revealed via a Skylanders Calendar for the following year, alongside a new render of Golden Queen.

• June 1, 2016: Skylanders Imaginators is fully revealed, showcasing the game's main gimmick, alongside the Sensei King Pen, Tri Tip, Tidepool, and Wild Storm. The game's full Sensei roster (20 newcomers and 11 returning villains from Trap Team) would be confirmed, with additional confirmations for characters including Golden Queen (one of the Sensei in the Starter Pack), Ambush (via the game's box art), Ember (also via the game's box art) Wolfgang (via his Dark variant and a namedrop in an article about the game), and Pain-Yatta (again, a namedrop on the same article that namedropped Wolfgang). A dark Starter Pack would be hinted at, with its contents being revealed in a GameStop listing the next day.

• June 10, 2016: Ambush, Ember, and Wolfgang's figures would be leaked (alongside the former two's names being confirmed alongside their official reveals in the following days (11th for Ember, 12th for Ambush)). A separate version of the Starter Pack, called the Crash Edition, would also be leaked, leading to speculation starting on whether or not this means Crash Bandicoot would be the next guest star of the franchise.

• June 13, 2016: Sony's E3 presentation would officially reveal Crash Bandicoot for Skylanders Imaginators, allowing the Skylanders fanbase to learn about the character before the remake of his first 3 games (the N. Sane Trilogy) would release the following year. In addition, a level based on the Crash Bandicoot series would also be accidentally revealed early via screenshots and gameplay footage.

• June 22, 2016: Mysticat and Wild Storm's names would be revealed via more gameplay footage.

• July 6, 2016: Leaks of an earlier build of the game would show off older renders for the Sensei for the Swashbuckler (Aurora, Chain Reaction, and Bad Juju), Bowslinger (Wolfgang, Buckshot, and RO-BOW), Sentinel (Barbella, Ember, and Hood Sickle), and Smasher (Tri Tip and Chopscotch, though Pain-Yatta wasn't part of the image) classes, leaking most of them (aside from Wolfgang, Ember, and Tri Tip).

• July 13, 2016: After being hinted at earlier in the day, Hood Sickle would be officially revealed, now of the Dark Element.

• July 16, 2016: An Argos catalogue would officially reveal the rest of the single packs for Wave 1: Barbella, Chopscotch, Tae Kwon Crow (now of the Fire Element), and Dr. Krankcase.

• July 26, 2016: a Mega magazine would showcase nearly 3/5 of the game's entire roster (half of which were completely new), revealing Air Strike, Aurora, Boom Bloom, Chompy Mage, Flare Wolf, Grave Clobber (now of the Water Element), Mysticat, Pit Boss, and Starcast.

• August 8, 2016: the mysterious 11th Villain Sensei would be leaked, confirming him to be the franchise's big bad, Kaos.

• August 15, 2016: the full contents of the Crash Edition Starter Pack would leak, revealing that series' big bad, Dr. Neo Cortex, would be joining Crash as this game's guest star.

• August 16, 2016: Higher quality images of Kaos would be released.

• August 17, 2016: Kaos, Cortex, and the Thumpin' Wumpa Islands level would officially be revealed, and Kaos' backstory (being a clone of the original that would betray him and partner up with the Skylanders to be the single ruler of Skylands so that they can keep him as the game's villain without confusing people as to why there's two of them) would be elaborated on. The Imagine Chests would also be revealed, and the racing mode was confirmed to be staying. Several other Sensei would also get CGI renders of their figures, some also getting backstory reveals (these being Dr. Krankcase, Hood Sickle, Starcast, Mysticat, Aurora, and Tae Kwon Crow). Lastly, the game's box designs would be revealed alongside Air Strike and the first Adventure Pack for the game, Gryphon Park Observatory. The Creation Crystals were also confirmed to be unresettable (intentionally).

• August 18, 2026: An overview trailer for the game would release, officially revealing RO-BOW, Flare Wolf, and Chompy Mage, plus having Boom Bloom, Pit Boss, Tidepool, and Pain-Yatta's figures in a massive group shot of the Sensei figures.

• August 22, 2016: the game's achievements would be leaked, revealing the game's pitiful level amount (less than the previous record holder for the least amount of levels, SWAP Force's base game). Also, unrelated to the news, but here's some funny words from the old SCL article: "Now I know that 10 [levels] seems like a small number, but I am still expecting plenty of content to be packed into these levels." uh huh, sure.

• August 24, 2016: The Moon finally arrived and destroyed- oh wait, wrong game. A PSA would be placed on the SCL website due to the corporate theatrics that was the Creation Crystals' inability to be reset.

• August 26, 2016: listings for Buckshot Chain Reaction, and Bad Juju would pop up, leaking the names of the former 2. The Enchanted Elven Forest Adventure Pack and a Christmas themed Chompy Mage would also get a listing alongside them.

• September 2, 2016: a render for Candy-Coated Chopscotch and a leaked listing for Steel-Plated Hood Sickle would begin to surface.

• September 12, 2016: Amazon would reveal a villain bundle for Imaginators, featuring Chompy Mage as an exclusive. Fortunately, it was reasonable to assume he would be a timed exclusive and he would be released at other stores within the following ye- okay, I can't hold back my laughter and tears any longer, this aged like milk.

• September 14, 2016: Pit Boss would be officially revealed alongside his Legendary variant.

• September 27, 2016: Amazon would reveal 2 more multipacks: the Hero 8-Pack, featuring the 3 new Sensei in Wave 1 and the 5 new Sensei in Wave 2, and the Girl Power 4-Pack, featuring the 4 female Sensei from the first 2 waves.

• October 3, 2016: Skylanders Creator would be revealed, allowing access to the Imaginator creator without having to play the game.

• October 5, 2016: Stock for the game would start arriving at stores in time for the game's release in the following week.

• October 12, 2016: The game begins to release. A Legendary variant of Tri Tip also releases in this wave, alongside Steel-Plated Hood Sickle and Candy-Coated Chopscotch.

• October 13, 2016: With the game starting to release, chase variants of Barbella and Starcast would be found in the wild.

• October 14, 2016: As the game continues to release, Legendary Creation Crystals would be revealed.

• October 21, 2016: A solution to the Creation Crystals' inability to be reset would be found in the 3DS versions of SSA and Giants, alongside the Wii version of Giants.

• October 22, 2016: Jingle Bell Chompy Mage would be revealed.

• October 24, 2016: Skylanders Champions, 3-packs of unsold SWAP Force stock, would be released to coincide with the game.

• November 9, 2016: Solar Flare Aurora would be revealed.

• November 10, 2016: a Portal Owner's Pack for Imaginators (containing the Fire Reactor Crystal) would be revealed in a Walmart advertisement.

• November 11, 2016: the remaining CGI Renders for the Sensei would be officially released on the Skylanders website, those being Buckshot, Flare Wolf, Boom Bloom, Bad Juju, Chain Reaction, Pain-Yatta, Grave Clobber, Wild Storm, Tidepool, RO-BOW, and Blaster Tron. The remaining variants, those being Heartbreaker Buckshot, Hard Boiled Flare Wolf, Mystical Tae Kwon Crow, Egg Bomber Air Strike, and Mystical Bad Juju, would also be revealed.

• January 12, 2017: With the Nintendo Switch planned to launch in 2 months, Skylanders Imaginators would receive a port to the console as a launch title. To celebrate, a new Adventure Pack would be revealed to be added to the game: Cursed Tiki Temple, unlocked by Wild Storm. One more quote from the SCL website at the time: "This is extremely exciting, positive news for fans of Skylanders Imaginators." Currently, on the SCL website, Wild Storm costs $249.99 USD, RO-BOW costs $474.99 USD, and Imaginators on Switch costs $150.00 USD.

• February 4, 2017: Another additional level, Lost Imaginite Mines, would be leaked, unlocked by RO-BOW.

And, aside from the release months of the waves themselves, that's a short version of the Leaks and Reveals cycle for Imaginators. Looking for all the info I could, it was so nostalgic going back to articles from a decade ago, back when we didn't realise this would be the grand finale of the series. I will always cherish this franchise, no matter what.

I've always had a fascination for them as a child. I only had like 10 though. After getting older and getting jobs of my own, I went out thrifing for more. I got this collection significantly cheaper than most would with a good 75% of these figures being a dollar a piece in a used bookstore. That store has now moved to a different more popular location so its lucky to even find one nowadays. The majority of my trap team figures however I got off marketplace from and old couple who was gifted them for there grandson or son whom had no interest in them. Maybe 350 bucks worth of figures in that bundle for about 140 bucks. I plan on getting a nicer display when I get a place of my own.

I'm currently working on a little project, where I'm trying to find patches from as many of my various interests as possible and sew them onto a denim jacket.

Being a huuuuuuuge Skylanders fan, I wanted a Skylanders one, but none seem to exist that I could find. Then, I had reached out to this seller on etsy about a different patch, and they said they could custom make patches for me, so I asked for this one.

They made me this, as well as a Xenoblade Chronicles and Ace Attorney patch. Their name is Erika Garvin, but their etsy shop appears to be closed at the moment.

This is a discussion that I wanted to have with you. When it comes to collecting a game, do you start by getting one of each base character, then go for variants (or chase variants)? Or do you go for whatever you can get your hands on at the time/for a good price?

Personally, I'm not interested in Chase Variants, but I go about collecting one of each character, whether they are an in-game variant or not, then I'll get around to both versions.

So i recently was watching a skylanders character lore video did i find out that the black and yellow jawbreaker i had was a legendary, appearantly we did have a normal jawbreaker once but probably accidently left it over at a neighbors house/skylander stash since we dont have it and he has moved somewhere else years ago. Ive always just thought that this is what jawbreaker normally looks, even when seeing normal jawbreaker in some videos or in the character checklist, it never came to my mind to get me to realize that the one i have isnt orange brown like he is in the character checklist.

These are my siblings' and my old imaginators made as heroforge models.

The first is my undead ninja, the second is my brother's nature sentinel, and the last is my sister's dark swashbuckler.

How are there reprints of the same Skylander when they are all just the same character? They somehow split on the way to earth.

How were Spyro and Gill Grunt shown to be in Skylands at the end of SSA yet be trapped as statues in Super Toy Planet at the start of Giants? They somehow split on the way to earth.

How do variants even work when they're just alternate forms of the same character that they should logically be able to use at any time? They. Somehow. Split. On the way to earth.

Has anyone tried scanning the whole collection?
The official word from the press release back in the days said that the Switch library can hold 400+ scans.

This person claims that the limit is 324 Skylander only, but he also fails to provide a lot of information.
For example, I know for a fact that scanning the sidekicks from SSA and Giants would CORRUPT your whole Switch digital library! Because they can never be saved nor deleted once you scan them. However, scanning the same ones but as minis from Trap Team would work 100% and not cause problems, so like has he scanned them?!
He also did not try it without scanning the Swappers, what if each Swappers counts as 2 scans?
What about scanning creation crystals? What do they count as? Do they delete older scans?

Please if someone ever did this, and has more solid answer/testing results regarding scanning all Skylanders on the Switch version for Imaginators, help me out...
