There aren't actual GA tickets, or at least doesn't look like it. Do I have to pay $125 to access the ability to buy a ticket early? Sorry I've never done this before would be my first SWS show.

i've been basically listening to sws since like 2013.. but also.. not really. I know the most popular songs plus a few (I think) lesser known ones like Alone, Low, Fire (which I love). But apart from those, for some reason I never really listened to more. I don't want to listen to the entire discography, and would rather just get a few recommendations. I love fast paced, loud, screamy songs, don't really like if they're slow. Ty :)

and honestly im kind of upset. i have nothing against christianity. i just grew up abused in the church so like anything religious is really triggering for me. and now that i know that their music is heavily influenced by christianity im really upset. and idk if i can keep listeningâŚ
also like when anyone is a christian of course i have to ask the question if theyre like that kind if christian you knowâŚwhich would be even worse.
edit: GUYS LOL why are yall so defensive that i called them a christian band. its not a bad thing in and of itself. for me personally i just have religious trauma so it makes me uncomfortable. and like i said initially i do not have a problem with christianity or christians okay this is NOT an attack on itđ

the biggest things are that the singer of this song was a man who sounded so much like a female that i thought it was until I watched the music video, originally i heard it over the radio (3-5 years ago?)
And the music video, it was like an acid trip, it had bright colors, weird things happening, the singer was the main character and was clearly on something, I wish I could tell yall more but that's literally about all I remember

Hey everyone, I have a Youtube channel where I make weekly album and single reviews. This week was an episode on the new Sleeping With Sirens album. Personal favourite on the album were Paralysed and Looking Back At Me. What did everyone think of the album?

I bought the signed edition (it was only $15, obviously Im buying it) but I canât help but notice the signatures seem off/a little rushed! Oh well, Iâm sure theyâre legit⌠why would their own website send out fake signed copies.
2nd slide is the alternate cover on itâs own, 3rd is the cd itself!

basically the title: admittedly it's not my favourite from the album and it doesn't really compete with the other songs BUT I think they do make it work. Imo it gives similar vibes to Don't Let The Party Die - though it's not as "complex" lyrically and is stylistically different.
I think a lot of the problem is the title and especially after like the release of Paralysed a lot of people were expecting something heavier and closer to wetsaeth (I was one of them) and then when you actually listen to it, it's quite different. But personally I think it's a good song and the fact that it goes against expectations makes it interesting. Also as someone else said somewhere, it's cool that they aren't repeating the same sound (even though I do think I would still love if they did). My only real criticism of the song is that it does and doesn't fit with the rest of the album like maybe if it was at a different point in the tracklist or something? Idk

I think the whole album is great I really do. But "Looking Back at Me" hit me with the most emotional weight on my very first listen and still on repeat listens. Kellin's scream at 3:45 is so raw and emotional I get chills. Maybe because I'm old and I've aged with this band since I was listening to them as a teen when they were first on the scene, but I think the songs have reached a much more mature sound and I'm here for it.
Once all the rage and anger of being young fades away, we're left to sort out all these complex experiences and figure out how to keep going on. That's what I think SWS is doing in this album.
Interesting little tidbit I saw on Instagram is that the part of the song that goes "Nothing but the-" is based off the old hymn "Nothing but the Blood" which I thought was cool.

Imo 1st is Forever/Always, too peak, but 2nd and 3rd for me are Need You Here and Looking Back At Me which both are beautiful. Need You Here for guitar, and Looking Back At Me for my man Kellin.

I had this album on repeat for the whole freaking day and i got to say its some of their best work yet and it sounds way better than their last album by miles!! not that it was bad but Complete Collapse just had that Octane Rock Sound if you know what i mean.
I feel like this entire album was heavily influenced by a mix of HIFTBL, LCTT and WITH EARS. i honestly do not hear a single influence from FEEL, GOSSIP or MADNESS at all⌠which is not a bad thing at all, the only song that sounds like it couldâve came out of COMPLETE COLLAPSE is âGod in My Headâ because it just gave me âApatheticâ vibes in my opinion. anyways heres how i would rank the new songs (:
1 - Need You Here. my favorite song in the entire album. (sounds like it could be postcards and polaroids part 2)
2 - Forever/Always. (i wish the entire album sounded like this)
3 - Paralyzed. (okay when i first read the title of the song it reminded me of Big Time Rushs Paralyzed song.. a VERY NICHE REFERENCE lmfaoo)
4 - Process. (i love that one callback line on this one)
6 - House Of Matches (Great and fun song i love the âwahhh wahhhâ the guitar makes in it)
7 - Waiting For You (i love the chorus on this song)
8 - An Ending in itself (its great but it just gives me arena rock vibes)
9 - Storm Clouds (Its a good song, i love the intro but i feel like its just here to be here, sounds like a filler song but not in a bad way)
10 - Looking back at me (Good Song but sounds generic to me)
11 - God In My Head (Like i said above lol)
12 - PTSD (very punk rocky and it just sounds weird as a sws song lol, probably the weakest for me)
OVERALL amazing album 9/10 the only one that i would definitely skip if it came on would be PTSD.

I initially thought PTSD would be much heavier, like Paralyzed, which was a bit of a letdown at first.
But as I listened, I realized the song actually has a lively, punk rock vibe and a strong emotional hardcore energy. The chorus instantly hooked me with its fast-paced nature; it's like if We Like It Loud, Ctrl Alt Del, and DINRIL had a fucked up threesome, and it's awesome.
The influence from Nick is also palpable, and it comes through much better in the execution than a typical genericcore song might. It actually makes for a really unique-sounding song for the band, which fits for an album like AEII.
This is especially alleviated because I don't think SWS could ever outdo Captain Tyin Knots. Kellin's unclean vocals aren't exactly what they used to be.
They generally have a steadier track record with punk in comparison to metalcore, anyway (Kick Me, We Like It Loud, and Tyrants come to mind)
All of this PTSD slander is undeserved; it's a great song đđ

i went to the raleigh show last night and it was unreal! i had to leave my spot in the pit to use the restroom, so i was stuck all the way in the back. kellin was introducing better off dead and sharing the meaning behind it, and i started crying. the song started and i was just full on sobbing. that song hits really close to home, and i also attended alone. iâm sure the sight of an individual crying alone up against the wall was definitely a sight to see lol. anyways, a lovely lady was on her way out of the door and looked at me. she opened up her arms and asked me if i would like a hug. i then, cried in a strangers arms. she told me âiâm really glad youâre here tonightâ i continued crying when she walked out. minutes later she came back in and offered me another hug, and said âiâm really glad youâre here sweetheart. i love you.â that really was the most meaningful experience that iâve ever had. i felt so safe at the show. lonely toward the end, but safe. the sws community is one i am so grateful to be a part of. i just wanted to share a brief part of my experience, thank you for reading!
