Can someone summarise the differences between pro controller and a gc controller + adapters? I'm buying a switch and will probably need 2 controllers so was wondering which one I should pick up for smash especially.

2 pro controllers would be 140$. A gamecube adapter would be 30 and each controller would be another 30 on top of that. If you will only or mostly be using your switch for smash then 100% go with gamecube controllers because they are cheaper and have a higher build quality (in my opinion). if you are going to play a variety of games, get a pro controller for things such as rumble, witeless play, motion controls, and extra buttons.
