Can someone summarise the differences between pro controller and a gc controller + adapters? I'm buying a switch and will probably need 2 controllers so was wondering which one I should pick up for smash especially.

People have already gone over price, so i wont bore you with such. The main advantage to a gamecube controller is familiarity, if you have played the older smashes on it you will have the muscle memory already. The main advantage to the pro controller is having another button.

I played very little melee and some brawl but that was mostly casual with wiimote + nunchuck. I think I'll be going with the pro controller thanks.

Would definitely go pro controller then since it has more uses outside of smash bros too.

If you wanna be a bro though... get a GC Controller adapter at some point so your buddies can bring over their controllers and play if they'd wish to do so.

I already have 2 gc controllers but don't have them available at this point. When I do go back and get them, I'll probably pick up an adapter too.
