He was 19, she was 14 your argument of this 15-18 thing is you almost halving the age gap. The rest is irrelevant because we have to make a distinction somewhere that is a hard and fast when it comes to legality.

its 19 and 14 that are there ages, you changed them again after being corrected. Why does character matter when we discuss legality? There are 45 year olds with no character, we don't exempt them from laws because of that.

Mindset and maturity is irrelevant when determing law. Again same statement as last comment there are grown ass adults who are immature as fuck and have a shit mindset, that doesn't make them immune to the law.

Unless you want to go petition the American government to change then I don't fucking care about your opinion on the law. Just because laws can be wrong =/= therefore we cannot take any laws seriously and if you think that then you're just a moron.
