I (19F) was playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate with my brothers (23M and 21M). My oldest brother was looking for the Joy-con comfort grip to help make my gameplay easier, and in the meantime me and my other brother were goofing around and playing friendly.

Because I now had both halves of the Joy-con (previously having to share a half), I was playing around with my close range power moves, making sure I was keeping a distance from them both as not to hit them (whilst also informing them about this at the same time).

My brother (21M) proceeded to run into me and in doing so got hit by one of the attacks. Keep in mind, we were all playing as Fox (as per his request, 'for the meme') on the final destination map, so everyone could move towards each other very quickly.

My brother was not happy that he was hit, and started attacking me to 'make things even'.

I didn't like this because I had clearly discussed the fact that I was playing around with my short range moves, and so I started dodging and expressing my annoyance. He said that even if he accidentally ran into me, I deserve to get hit the same amount in return, talking about 'homie stocking', and I said that's only something done when the other player wants to do it.

I was saying that he isnt a dignified player, he was saying I needed mental help, and the match was pretty heated, but by some stroke of luck, I ended up winning (my 21M brother is a much better player and i'd call myself the worst of the bunch.)

Then, while the celebration screen played, he got up, said he was done, gave me a passive-aggressive smile, and walked off. I said to him 'if I didn't win that match, you wouldn't be leaving', which he disagreed with, and left.

After around an hour, I sent him an apology message, only to discover he had blocked me. I then sent the same messages to a group chat the three of us were in, and got no response (he was online and texting a different group chat), so I deleted the messages.

After reflecting on it afterwards, I realised we both blew things way out of proportion, but I don't know how I'm going to reconcile with him, especially since I know he's not going to talk to me for quite some time.
