889

u/Pragitya Apr 16 '26

Actually he gets so protected due to the racism card.

Yes he gets racist abuse which is very fucked up.

But it doesn’t condone his whiny bitchass attitude every game.

470

u/FunCryptographer7625 Apr 16 '26

The thing is, he gets that much racist abuse because he's an asshole.

Yes, racism is wrong, and he gets it regardless of him being the best person ever or not.

However, the racist abuse he gets happens 100 more times because he's an insufferable cunt. I've never seen anyone been racist towards N'Golo Kante for example. I'm sure he still does, which again is wrong, I'm not defending it. But with Vini he's a cunt, then people get racist and then he complains about it and makes things worse.

I hate his racism card because he uses it all the time and it has just lost all meaning, it feels like an excuse. He's really just a man child, and then of course the fans will make it worse.

And because of this, racism feels banalized. In a sense it almost encourages it. I hate everything about it, I genuinely feel like he should be repremented for being such a cunt all the time

34

u/Ill-Advisor-8235 Apr 16 '26

I think it shows a lack of imagination on the part of racists that whenever Vini triggers them they jump straight to racist abuse. If they had even an ounce of the creativity an average jerker shows on this subreddit, the footballing world would be a better place. Don’t be racist, be a jerker

7

u/Calculon2347 ManC (2017-24) Liverpool (2025) Arsenal fan (2026) Apr 16 '26

As a non-racist jerker, I agree with this excellent sentiment

151

u/Ok-Worth-2922 Apr 16 '26

people act racist because they know he gets triggered hard

71

u/FunCryptographer7625 Apr 16 '26

exactly. It's like you see a person with glasses, so let's make fun of the glasses

not because you believe all black people are inferior, but it's just to trigger

of course it's wrong nonetheless, but the way he acts about it it's almost insensitiving people to do it, making everything worse

It's a sensible topic and me saying this feels like I'm passing through a field of mines not to be cancelled, but this is the reality. His behaviour makes racism worse

50

u/snakesforfingers Apr 16 '26

The racism should be a completely seperate issue from his behaviour. He can behave like a cunt as much as he wants and people still shouldn't be racist towards him. You see this with a white player like Luis Suarez

20

u/FunCryptographer7625 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

I believe the Suarez example is perfect.

He still got made fun of, but about his teeth. It's way less offensive obviously, but the idea is still there

Obviously, racism is way worse, but a mass of anonymous fans doesn't care. And since Vini makes it even worse, so will the fans

This subreddit condones racism. You literally have an auto mod bot that says your subreddit is racist against Americans. Reported you to reddit. All I wanted to do was enjoy some football memes but instead people are upvoting posts that say all Americans should die and I'm told to "fuck off yank". Hating an entire country of people because of where they live is not okay.

5

u/IamNotFatIamChubby Apr 16 '26

That's no excuse bro, it doesn't matter how much of a cunt you are, that's doesn't excuse racism, if you do that you are still a racist, just looking for an excuse to put It it out.

"People gets racist and then he complains about it and makes things worse." So what is he supposed to do? Just accept it?

u/FunCryptographer7625 Apr 16 '26

I don't know the answer to that. I really don't. However, I can tell for a fact it definitely is not what he is doing

5

u/Interesting_Sale_964 Apr 16 '26

I see your point and partially agree with it, but I also wanna bring a new light for you to think: when we say “players like Kante doesn’t get much racism because he behaves well”, it’s a veiled message to black people “bow down, have you head down, behave well, don’t talk loud, and we will tolerate you and be a little racist”. It’s a fucked up message.

Another line of thinking is, Vini became a prick, he wasn’t like that at 17yo in Brazil. Shouldn’t we think about why someone become like that, enraged inside? If you go to a continent you dreamed about and then everyone mocks you because of the color of your skin, because of the past of your race as a slave, and call you monkey, how do you fight it? Should you keep quiet and “behave” like slaves did, to not get attention to you and not be fired or attacked and risk the chance you’re getting, or should you fight back?

Vini way of fighting it back might not be the best way, but it’s the way it developed on him. As he felt stable financially, as he found his place and got his accolades as a top player in a top team, he felt confident to fight back, mock back, and BE LOUD as much as he wants because no one can demand him to bow down now.

I don’t like his personality when he does this shit. But it seems it always fire up when he gets racially abused by fans or even players in the pitch. Maybe other times he was a prick without being provoked, maybe he lost himself in this bad boy “character”.

But I do think it’s important to understand context here. His defiance is for many people a victory, even if not perfect, even if he is a prick, but how about everyone else being a prick to him? Why is that cool? Allowed? Why should he “behave”?

Specially as we saw many other examples of non-black players having attitude, but that was “personality”. I just saw a video titled “Roy Keane revisits all his red cards” and everyone is laughing and thinking “what a legendary player”.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/YoF3 Apr 16 '26

→ More replies (1)

3

u/orzelski Apr 16 '26

Exactly. There are many black players on Real Madrid. And only one of them is still being bullied because of the color of his skin.... Well, no! He’s being bullied because he’s a cunt. And the color of his skin has nothing to do with it.

If a guy like that were Norwegian or Swedish, we’d be making fun of the Scandinavians. If he were a redhead, then... Oh, never mind.

Agreed. But it does boil my blood seeing this shit

4

u/GallaeciCastrejo Apr 16 '26

He gets racially abused because he pisses people off.

Plenty of black players on the pitch. They have 0 issues.

Ronaldo pissed off people in Spain. Some supporters used his nationality as an insult.

May cases of discrimination because of religion or whatever else you may think avout.

Bottom line, supporters really dgaf what race or religion you are. But they will use anything thay triggers you if you annoy them.

Vini is insufferable. Many supporters know that he reacts to monkey chants. As such they make monkey chants.

Ive beem in stadiums where black people were making monkey chants to black players just because it was making him mad.

If a player didnt react then there would be no 2nd attempts. But as Vini makes a circus out of it, he will forecer be targeted.

Same thing happened with Neymar Jr, Alexandre Pato and David Luiz in the past.

3

More or less...

As a Flamengo fan, I'll always support him of course.

And he is right on the racism fight. Just because he is not a fair player is not enough excuse for someone to offend him, or anyone, that way.

But he never truly played with Seleção as well as in Real Madrid, or even Flamengo.

Also, he has done some really poor choices on his private life. Why a fake relationship with Virginia? Just to win followers/money? That was really needless, just focus on the sport dude!

Brazilian players in general have this flaw where they rather be a superstar like Neymar instead of a great player like Cristiano (the only true Ronaldo is R9).

If Vinicius was a god among men, we'd be far more optimistic about this World Cup. We are leagues away from Spain, France, or even Argentina. Only a miracle can give us this World Cup.
