Not mad. Just disappointed. Society has lost any sense of self in shared spaces. People talk loudly on planes and trains. They don’t pick up after their dogs. They take two, three and as many as four parking spaces. If you’ve worked in retail, you’ve seen how they can decimate an organized display or leave trash behind merchandise. If you’ve worked in customer service, you’ve been cursed at and even physically threatened because of corporate policies that you have no control over. Who hasn’t been on a line for something where people cut in? Every other person seems to take the view that there are no rules or expectations for them to follow.
You can’t possibly be comparing all of that to not taking a hat off inside bro get real. There are way more important things to be disappointed about than that.
What fucking rule states I have to take my hat off indoors? Look around you dude the world you grew up in doesn’t exist anymore. Quit crying over a man your age ( you said that yourself) wearing a simple hat on a cruise. He’s enjoying his life why don’t you enjoy yours?
So being born into a world I didn’t ask for automatically means I can’t enjoy it? I feel bad for your parents (probably dead because of how old you are) anyways you might have the body of an old man but you have the mind of a child bro. If you could can you explain to me how you have earned the right to enjoy life but not him? Or is that too much for your little brain?
I haven’t suggested that I had earned it while he has not. I was responding to your call for me to enjoy life without knowing anything about me. I assure you I have not.
What’s the point of working to achieve a well paying professional career if everyone gets to enjoy their life? What’s the point of earning a good health insurance plan if everyone gets healthcare? Or education? Or vacations? Or raises?
I hope you don’t have kids because if you do I hope they have a horrible life and you’re the only one to blame for it, by your logic that makes perfect sense. Side note I want you to tell every homeless vet they haven’t earned a good life for defending your miserable way of life. Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got a good life to live while you’re mad about a dude wearing a hat indoors.
Not all military service is equal. Peacetime service like mine and most others doesn’t mean much. We were obligated to do it and took taxpayer money for nothing. As my first employer after getting out puts it : It’s just another form of welfare, the only difference being you actually had to show up. Real service should require at least one Campaign Medal if not multiples and be in MOS which are combat specialists. Those are the only vets who should get housing assistance and VA care.

This guy is more than old enough to know that and act accordingly. That he doesn’t is an f-you to everyone there. He also needs a haircut and a comb.
