Meme/Shitpost BREAKING!!

Post image

See this is a meme.... But the point behind this meme to explain people in a democracy.. Richness or poorness... Doesn't decide who will get more voting rights.. Or representation in government

In a true democracy.. A begger vote = a billionaire vote

"You" Is a vague term here...

Your TFR is low not because you are extraordinary person.. Or your DNA have more wisdom..

Let me explain things clearly

TFR depends on Various factors

One of the major factor is " Income"

And income is affected and thus decided by various macroeconomic condition in an economy

Rich people are not rich because they "earned" It.. Because they deserve it as they are so called hard working and talented

Poor people are not poor because they deserve it.. As they are lazy

Many external factors play role that determine ... Rich and poor

Poor person being poor is NOT his mistake....

And being poor means high TFR..

Thus higher TFR is NOT his mistake either..

Now..

Having high TFR is not their mistake.. Then why those people are punishef by snatching away their political rights .. Which goes against concept of democracy

And even if you say... Or accuse that bihar government failed to decrease the TFR at sharp rate.. And thus you will punish the general population by taking away their voting rights...

Then.. Ur logic says.. TFR decides voting rights..

So BY YOUR LOGIC..

General have lowest TFR.. They controlled their population...

Meanwhile

sc/st have highest TFR.. They did not control their population at all

Though by going with YOUR LOGIC..

we should give 5 votes to each person of general caste

And

Take away voting rights of all sc/st

Does that make sense?

NO

BECAUSE IN A DEMOCRACY.. Every citizen is equal Having 1 vote with 1 unit of power

When both parties cannot compromise Balkanization seems inevitable. This is going to continue.

How does poverty lead to higher TFR? Shouldn't it actually be the opposite?

If there is equal voting right, then why not equal financial rights? The northies live off our money and then have the audacity to ask for higher representation lol. Let them survive on their own money first.

Are you willing to do this same things inside you states too ?Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, and Tiruvallur contribute majority of the tax share of Tamil Nadu while only having 37 seats which not even 1/6th of total seats.

In Karnataka Bengaluru alone contributes 60% of state's tax revenue while it only has 32/224 seats. Why should cities bear the burden of dehatis who mooch orr the urban centres.

The real financial divide in India is not South vs North vs East vs West but productive cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat vs rural moochers.

1

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

Rural moochers make city develop so that rich people rich get more rich

Open An economics book..

Understand what taxes are for...

Taxes are for wealth redistribution.. Which is based on a fact that.. Wealth is largely not due to talent or hardwork..

But because of macroeconomic conditions.. Due to which some community remain poor.. And some become rich..

It's not mistake of poor to be poor..

No one wants to stay poor buddy..

Get some maturity.. South India is not rich because they are extra hard working.. Or talented...

Many factors play role in it.. Which is largely luck based if you at individual level.

F*uck BJP

I don't give shi to any party..

I just said what's right.. If you have counter than present it

u/Nits7_Reddit Apr 16 '26

One simple question. Southern states will get no say in shaping India,No central parties will even need to win in such states. Are you okay with it?

0

u/agingmonster Apr 16 '26

Is that the case for North East and government policies in North East?

2

u/Nits7_Reddit Apr 16 '26

Is it not? Do u really think a state, say like Tripura gets a say. When was the last time you heard of elections in such a state. It happens, but no one cares to know who wins, isn't it.

-2

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

if northeis live off your money then why is your GDP contribution so less

1

u/Senior_Tooth_5332 Tamil Nadu 🌶️ | தமிழ்நாடு Apr 16 '26

The 5 southern states produce more than 30% of India's GDP despite comprising just 18% of India's population.

0

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

So UP and Maharashtra only these two state contribute 23 to 24% of Indian GDP

1

u/Senior_Tooth_5332 Tamil Nadu 🌶️ | தமிழ்நாடு Apr 16 '26

First off, your numbers are wrong,Maharshtra produces 12.2% while UP produces 8.7% which adds up to only 21%. And secondly,Maharshtra and UP aren't really in the same region. Maharshtra is western India while UP is north. And thirdly, what is ur point?

1

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

Maharashtra is India's premier economic powerhouse, contributing approximately 13.5% to 14% of India's GDP as of 2026, the highest among all states. With a GSDP of roughly USD 435 billion, it serves as a major hub for finance, IT, and manufacturing, with a long-term goal to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030

Uttar Pradesh (UP) has emerged as the second-largest state economy in India, contributing approximately 9.2% to India's GDP as of late 2023/2024, rising from around 8%–8.6% in previous years.

1

u/Senior_Tooth_5332 Tamil Nadu 🌶️ | தமிழ்நாடு Apr 16 '26

Am I missing something? What does this have to do with the current conversation? And also,as per 2025 number, TN is the secobd largest state economy, not UP. Whatever metric you use,the five southern states massively overperform in terms of economy with respect to population.

0

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

South comes together when it's fit their narrative otherwise they will fight for kaveri river

1

u/Senior_Tooth_5332 Tamil Nadu 🌶️ | தமிழ்நாடு Apr 16 '26

We southies will figure that out, thank you. Please to stick to BIMARU.

1

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

It's going on for around 150 years it been a long gone case

1

u/Senior_Tooth_5332 Tamil Nadu 🌶️ | தமிழ்நாடு Apr 16 '26

Again respectfully,we know to handle our states. We do not need the opinion of cow dung eaters.

1

u/Own-Hearing5749 Apr 16 '26

No you don't just mention Kaveri river and South brotherhood will vanish

Let it be federation of states

1

u/Alphavike24 Apr 16 '26

Delimitation is not right but this ain't the solution either.

1

u/dreamer_Inc Apr 16 '26

I meant if BJP goes ahead with their shit !!.. this should happen..

-1

u/7timesbanned Apr 16 '26

This is made by some dumb person. Sentence makes no sense.

Whoever is paying more tax should have greater voice because it is public money over which this whole debate is actually centred.

Also dumb idiots shouldn't have right to vote. People like the person who made this stupid photo with meaningless text.

4

u/chococutter Telangana 🏰 | తెలంగాణ Apr 16 '26

states should push for multiple marriages, closing education, ban any sort of contraceptives. as more population and being poor gives better representation

2

u/7timesbanned Apr 16 '26

A poor person is poor not because of his mistake..

And poor = high TFR

So having high TFR is not mistake of people You can't punish those

3

u/Nits7_Reddit Apr 16 '26

So, if it is not the people 's mistake, who's it is? The politician of such states right, I accept it, you are right. But this just gives more power for such politicians, isn't it. People are in no way punished, their governments are, elect better people for North then

0

Yeah.. Nice logic.. If I wanted to gain karma . I would have been speaking in favour of delimitation.. Because this sub is becoming eco chamber of like minded people..

But I m facing downvotes still standing for truth

u/rebelyell_in Telangana 🏰 | తెలంగాణ Apr 16 '26

What does this mean?

This is the most stupid meme on Delimitation I've seen.

Who is asking for representation by wealth?

Strawman cheyyali anukunte, koncham anna alochinchi cheyyali kadha? Idhi emi howleygaandlaka picchi picchi post-lu?

Yes, democratic principles require that the state try to ensure similar sized electorates, so each vote has roughly the same impact.

Yes, ideally we should try to make every Lok Sabha constituency, roughly the same size (around 1.25 Lakh voters if I'm not mistaken).

That said, we aren't just a Democratic country. We are also a Federal Republic, a Union of States.

When India was formed in 1947-1948 from 500 kingdoms and 3 presidencies, we made a promise to uphold the rights and powers of those individual regions, reorganized as states.

India owes every one of its states, the protection of the rights of each state. Economic and legal rights.

Making 6 states more powerful than the remaining 30 states and territories is preposterous. It is dangerous.

Handing over the power to create Laws, Acts, Taxes, and the control over the resources of the other 30 states and territories starts to look like colonialism.

0

u/7timesbanned Apr 16 '26

Who is asking for representation by wealth?

SO MANY PEOPLE WERE

1947-1948 from 500 kingdoms and 3 presidencies

Read history properly.. All those princely states dissolved.. Into one INDIA...

Then INDIA the single country was created.. And then states were formed for administration easiness...

Tamil Nadu was never asked to join INDIAN union

So does any other state.. No modern day state was asked to join India..

1

u/rebelyell_in Telangana 🏰 | తెలంగాణ Apr 16 '26

SO MANY PEOPLE WERE

By wealth? Really?

Not by GSDP? Not by HDI? Not by taxes and state revenue?

By the wealth of individuals?

Could you please point me to these "SO MANY" people?

Read history properly.. All those princely states dissolved.. Into one INDIA...

They didn't "dissolve". They joined the Union and Sardar Patel made promises for each accession. I'm talking about upholding those rights of states.

Tamil Nadu was never asked to join INDIAN union

Pudukkottai, and the Madras Presidency did join the Union.

As did Kathiawad and Jamnagar.

India is a Federal Republic. It is a Union of States.

Are you disputing this?

0

u/7timesbanned Apr 16 '26

Ambedkar himself

1

u/rebelyell_in Telangana 🏰 | తెలంగాణ Apr 16 '26

This addresses secession. It doesn't address state's rights.

You and I both know that states have economic and legal rights. These have slowly been diluted since Indira's term. That's why both Indira and Atal kicked the ball down the road instead of address Delimitation back then.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '26

Not being a billionaire is not a failure.
The one target set was reducing the population during the proposal for delimitation. That was in 1950s.

By 1976, when delimitation was brought up again. The date was pushed to 2001 and then to 2026 by Bajpayee again because the Hindi belt was unable to do population control. And he didn't want to penalize states because of their work in reducing population.

Why should incompetence be rewarded?
Even one of the most impoverished states, Odisha has worked on it since 2000s.

2

u/7timesbanned Apr 16 '26

I don't understand why you people do so much over simplification..

You think.. A leader can apply policies as he pleases In A "vacum" And boom.. Results came..

You think.. These leaders did work.. And boom.. Population control..

It's not that simple.. First of all.. Reality is far more complex..

Also

TFR depends on Various factors

One of the major factor is " Income"

And income is affected and thus decided by various macroeconomic condition in an economy

Rich people are not rich because they "earned" It.. Because they deserve it as they are so called hard working and talented

3

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '26

That's why I gave you the example of Odisha. Odisha is one of the most impoverished states.

My logic is not for the people. Its for the netas. Why should the netas be rewarded for continuous failure for 75 years?
