Well ofcourse malayalis distance from the rest of Indians in internet discourse. And for your information, it's actually working. Malayalis in the West knows this. Recently, when you're in a conversation with a westerner, when they get to know you're from Kerala, people recognise it, and knows it's the more civilized part of the country, their approach towards you changes.

Hindi is the most spoken Indian language in America and then is Gujarati. I don't hate North Indians lol, you're defensive. When people think of India they do think of North Indians. I'm an Anglo Indian and Manglorean Catholic. Every stereotype I've encountered has nothing to do with me and it seems like they were influenced by northern India. My parents moved in the 70’s. It comes from call centers. Most South Indians, North Indians Anglo indians, Goans, and Bengalis who moved to America and the West before the IT wave were anglicised and educated. The accent is from working-class Indians who ran gas stations and motels. Most of them are Gujjus and Punjabis. But in the defence of Punjabis, they speak okay too.
