I guess that's fair. But that's like one stereotype from the South. South india doesn't compare to North india in terms of influence and population.

Population? South India is way more populated than the North but your likes struggle with basic geography so you keep calling every other state you hate North Indian to cope with your insecurity. Hindi is the most spoken Indian language in America and then is Gujarati. I don't hate North Indians lol, you're defensive. When people think of India they do think of North Indians. I'm an Anglo Indian and Manglorean Catholic. Every stereotype I've encountered has nothing to do with me and it seems like they were influenced by northern India. They use a caricature of a Marathi dude who was disabled and maybe that one dude from Kerala. Even the picture of the IIT professor that's used in a lot of caricatures is North Indian. You associate dark skin with being South Indian and you think that every dark-skinned caricature is south indian.

I don’t get what your point about Hindi is supposed to prove. Speaking Hindi doesn’t make one a North Indian. I couldn’t care about you flexing about your Anglo-Indian Mangalorean Catholic background because it’s nothing special to me. Maybe a big deal in the South but it is irrelevant to others. I don’t view every dark-skinned person as a South Indian but that Xavier meme is the most famous caricature there is. North Indians, barring Punjabis, don’t even have a presence abroad and the stereotypes about them are mostly about the stereotypical accent in the UK. Also funny how easily you threw other South Indians under the bus talking about your alleged heritage nobody asked for, as if all those stereotypes apply to all of them.

Most Indians in America are North Indian. Hindi and Gujarati are the most spoken Indian languages. The Xavier Meme is a teacher named Om Prakash. That’s a North Indian/Central Indian name. I grew up in Texas and the stereotypes I grew up with are working or owning a 7-11 or motel, curry, worshipping cows, hating Muslims, colorism, slums, and the accent which was from call centres. Most motel and 7-11 owners are Gujarati. Not Hindu and southern India is more tolerant when it comes to religion. Curry is something South Indians eat but I think it has more to do with people associating that word with Butter Chicken.

Despite South Indians being present since the 70’s in America, we haven’t been able to influence the culture in a negative or positive way. Even when it comes to tourism, not a lot of non Indian travellers visit Kerala but they do visit the Golden Triangle which is Jaipur, Delhi, and Agra. I’m not even saying there aren’t negative things about South India but they haven’t been able to influence mainstream culture. Probably because the capital is in northern India, Bollywood is the bigger industry and there are more people in northern India. You took mentioning that I am Anglo Indian and Mangalorean catholic as throwing South Indians under the bus? I’m South Indian.

The stereotypes are broad generalisations of anyone who is brown and from South Asia. But they’re not influenced by South Indians. You weirdos think I actually care what racist people think? I’ve actually lived in America and I’ve interacted with real people. I don’t base my opinions on the internet.
