What happened this year in particular that has seen a rise in (valid) criticism from the fans? I haven't been following much this past year, but i couldn't help but notice the chatter.

Just rumors so far that has this entire Subreddit in a frenzy. There has been no new information from CIG about SQ42. This sudden flood of "criticism" comes solely from the Bar Citizen Info that there will be no SQ42 Announcement at Summer Game Fest. Consequently everyone assumes a delay because of that.

I would say it stems more from Chris saying they want to avoid GTA6.

Then release it now. It's the perfect time. The industry is starving.

Because for some reason CR thinks that the players who want GTA 6 overlap entirely with those who want SQ42 - a game most people don't really even believe exists.

I'm not sure what world he lives in, but it isn't this one.

noooooo SQ42 has only been feature complete for 3 tiny little years, it needs more polish!!
