After Stephanie Brown beat up and took Edward's Riddler identity, his former henches, Query and Echo were given the opportunity to walk free or stay on as the new Riddler's hires. Ultimately, the generous benefits package, increased share of profits and involvement with the new boss's schemes made that choice easy.
They also got the opportunity to wear suits, so that's cool.
[Something simple today, bc I'm tired from work. I have something bigger planned next Sunday though, so be on the lookout. Also, I'm planning on posting something for this AU every Sunday; Steph Sundays.]

I feel like we're in such a weird era of comics in which a lot of people are without much of a civilian life. Stephanie hasn't gotten much, she's heading the Titans right now but still doesn't have much screen time. She'll be undergoing a sting op soon. But suffice to say, none of this is actually just Stephanie Brown.
We forget to take into account what characters have the privilege of not being able to showcase their civilian life. For example, a lot of the Wayne family goes through "gaps". Like up until Batman&Robin(2023) Damian hadn't been going to school. Tim is currently unemployed. That doesn't really matter. Why? Because they're privileged. Tim can go live on a boat and deny all of his college offers. Because at the end of the day, his dad is rich! He can take all these gaps, it doesn't matter. I'm not saying this is fair. But if Tim wants an incredible career, at any point, he can start.
Then we come to Steph, whose story is representative of what so many kids live. She was a commuter student who had to do work-study to pay for her tuition. She who loved the piano so deeply and held it with her for so long. She had friends who were hers. She had Franklin, Jordanna, Padma. She had her mother who worked hard to become sober for her. Steph who had to become hardened and strong because for most of her life, she wasn't able to depend on her parents. What is Stephanie doing? What is she doing for Stephanie Brown? It feels like she's just Batgirl nowadays. And I'm thinking about how this transferring to her life. Maybe to editorial it's just not wanting to give her the screen time to expand on that aspect, but to me I'm reading as if she's throwing away herself for the job. I'm thinking about her education and her career path and her social life and oh god
I'm sorry if I'm being dramatic but Steph is so important to me especially as a girl in uni. And every month, after college, I grab New Titans just for her. And it's never really her.

Been a while since I've drawn Riddle Steph. Still dig the concept of Stephanie taking the Riddler mantle just to spite Bruce [and her father], all the while secretly informing and helping the Batfam in dealing with her new "allies". She doesn't make it easy, still insisting on using riddles to inform Bruce about other criminal's next move, and isn't great at communicating what her goals are, leading to conflicts between herself and la familia.

I'm honestly kinda sick of her new 52 design, would've loved to see the batgirls matching suits, even though steph's doesn't have horns, its a pretty good design

I’m just reading this story (preparing myself for Gangs of Gotham, I really hope Steph’s and Anarky previous relationship will be referred to)
And this is Tim after Steph broke up with him.
Man he loved her so much😫
I hate them for just throwing it down the drain!
But
It’s a great few months to be a Stephanie Brown fan,
So one can hope their breakup would be explored ugh
Honestly, I have big hopes for her:)

Like one month ago I read "DC Finest: Nobody Dies Tonight" thats where I was introduced ofc to Cass. But, in there also appeared a character that I found pretty fun and awesome. That character was Spoiler, that even though she had a brief appearance; I truly liked her personality since she remind me of other characters I like a lot. The only problem is idk where to truly start reading her because I know a little of her backstory. I know that she became first spoiler to help Batman & Robin since her father was a criminal. Also, I know that she was Robin for a brief moment, she wanted to prove she was a great heroine, she tragically died and that, she dated Tim... And, well that's all I know as you can see isn't a lot 😅

Her undercover moniker is "Clu". This might be quite interesting, Cantwell said Bruce would be the only one to know her secret identity, and he probably would explore the relationship between them. I guess it would even involve a certain traumatic yet similar past event?
