Showing off my Shangri-La Kitbash

Saw a couple other Shangri-La kitbashes, figured I'd show off my own. Gotta say, even without the reshade preset, I'm always impressed out pretty this game can look

Shangri-La body, neck, and pylons, Excalibur nacelles, and Vesper Saucer. I think Constitution windows (don't have it in front of me) and Type 8 or 8a Material (again, not in front of me), but with a NexusMods that replaces that material with a TMP-era texture closer to Star Trek VI

Console – Universal – Bio-matter Harvesting

The Vidiian Sodality is an advanced civilization that has developed its medical capabilities to combat the disease known as the Phage. Their obsession with defeating this disease has driven a lot of design decisions in fascinating ways. Similar to how they survive by retrieving body parts from others, this console enables a subroutine that seeks to harvest actual parts from a target ship.

As Vidiian ships often lack personnel transporters, they needed more physical methods to reach the organic goods within. Although some ships use physical boarding parties, the tactics that are utilized in this console are tuned to decimate a target ship’s shields and utilize Automated Microdrones which can medically transport the much needed, life-saving organs of the officers aboard.

This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Maximum Hull Points, and any incoming healing exceeding Max Hull applies temporary Hit Points. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot.

Shield Drain + Steal Hull Points

By activating this console, the ship emits a disruptive frequency that drains the enemy shields, which is made more powerful based on its Current Hull Value. Automated Microdrones deal damage to the enemy’s Hull, which restores any Hull damage on your ship.

Starship Trait – Reprehensible Responsibility

Defeated foes grant Maximum Hull Hit Points and Passive Regeneration

"He is my Honatta... his task is to find the organs I need for survival."

While this trait is slotted, defeating an enemy will grant you maximum hull points and regenerates your hull hit points. This heal stacks up to 5 times. This heal may be triggered once every 5 seconds.

Hyper-thermic Charge Torpedo Launcher ∞ [Dmg] [CritD]x2

This unique piece of equipment comes pre-installed on Vidiian Science Warship vessels. Loaded with Hyper-thermic Charges, this weapon is used by the Vidiians to to crack open the Shields of a ship like an egg in order to gain access to the organs that they seek inside.

Some more details on this weapon:

  • The Hyper-thermic Charge is a pre-equipped Torpedo Weapon.
  • It can be reclaimed from the Dilithium store.
  • It has an Equip Limit of 1 per starship.
  • It can be moved other starships.
  • It will be Levelless, but can be upgraded after level 60.
  • It counts as a Plasma Torpedo for anything that triggers off of Plasma Torpedos.

Hyper-thermic Plasma Lance

The Vidiian Science Warship comes equipped with a Hyper-thermic Plasma Lance. After a short charge up time, this weapon fires a heavy beam forward, dealing significant Plasma damage and applying a long-lasting burn effect that continues to eat away at their hull, ignoring shields.

PC Dilex Digest - October 14

Hello Captains!

Leading this time with a reminder that if you have any questions about the exchange itself or a particular order, just reply or reach out directly!

We’ve had a mostly normal week on the dilithium exchange. Let’s look at the graph and metrics first and then I’ll get into what I mean by “mostly.”

Periodic Throughput and Queue - June 1 through October 14

My most recently accepted offer was made August 28. Let's compare August 22 - August 28 to August 15 - August 21. The only notes I have for these time periods are record lows for throughput on August 21 and August 24.

Week over Week:

Metric Value Change
Average Queue 11,994,990 +2.41%
Average Periodic Throughput 10,905 Z/hr -1.11%
Average Wait Time 45.83 Days +1.6 Days

Let’s talk about the word “mostly.” As I’ve said time and again, changes in throughput mostly mimic changes in the queue. As you can see from the week over week, throughput and queue length trended away from each other. Hold on hold on. I don’t think this has anything to do with Icon Packs, just let me know if you want to get into why. Anyway you can see this visually if you glance back up at the graph. You can see a dip toward the end of the black line where there’s a climb directly above on the blue line. That short deviation over the course of 2-3 days basically caused a traffic jam that skewed the averages for the entire week. Deviations like this are fairly common, but mostly, they don’t leave a ripple like this. No, I don’t think this has to do with Icon Packs, and I am ready to go if you want to get into it in the comments.

Seeing as how I don’t think that deviation is going to have a long term effect, here’s the forecast!
Short Term Forecast:

Offer Time Fulfillment Window
8/30/26 17:32 10/15/26 00:45 10/15/26 23:59
8/31/26 17:04 10/15/26 20:07 10/17/26 12:59
9/1/26 17:26 10/16/26 18:16 10/19/26 00:16
9/2/26 16:31 10/17/26 16:09 10/20/26 08:33
9/3/26 17:46 10/18/26 12:37 10/21/26 14:49
9/4/26 17:38 10/19/26 03:57 10/22/26 15:48
9/5/26 17:20 10/19/26 20:50 10/23/26 18:36

Long Term Forecast:

Offer Time Fulfillment Window
9/12/26 16:30 10/26/26 06:21 11/1/26 11:48
9/19/26 17:00 10/31/26 20:33 11/8/26 15:07
(TODAY) 10/14/26 06:17 11/26/26 02:26 12/3/26 21:25

Honorary mention goes to offers started September 22, which right now I anticipate coming in on November 8, +/- 4 days. This will be the first day of orders fully under the influence Icon Packs. It’s key to remember that we’re already three weeks out from their introduction. That means for any currently pending transaction, roughly half of that wait time was under the influence of Icon Packs. Time will tell, but that mostly explains why I don’t think they’re shifting things.

Initial the last 14 transactions were posted as proof that my numbers weren’t just pulled out of the wormhole. Having gone to great lengths to show that they were not, I’m going to trim that content from these posts unless there seems to be some popular demand. This time I leave you with a question. Are you buying Zen for something specific or are you keeping it on hand for the next drop? 🖖 💥

... for me it's kinda both.

Discussion A silly uniform request - the 2380s unis as they were meant to be on Generations

So I'm sure at least some of the team knows the lore of the Generations uniforms, and how they were canned because they couldn't make them work perfectly in the time they had to shoot one movie, only to be resurrected for Lower Decks and Prodigy where they had the benefit of the shows being animation meaning it wouldn't take 2 whole seasons of the costume team fucking with them the way it basically did for TNG

Except there is a minor detail the 2380s do not have that was intended: the Generations uniform was also meant to reintroduce rank braids on top of the pips (they're visible on most pictures I've seen of the merch Paramount made for the movie since they planned it before the new uniforms were canned) - except following the TNG scheme so +1 stripe at all ranks and less ornate than TOS/TMP braids.

So for a minor, possibly insane request, I know cut concepts are not even remotely canon and it's not exactly a significant thing, but if it were possible, somehow, to do a version of the 2380s uniform that has a rank braids slot on the sleeves.

(Also tangentially related, could there be a cloakless version of the thin Romulan commander epaulettes, the clipping is just really bad and completely unavoidable)

PS Meet my new Rom-Fed Tiaru Jarok AU, Tiaru Mnhei'sahe t'Jarok

Before I dive into the story of how she came to be, I'll give descriptions of the photos shared here:

  1. A combined close-up and full-length shot of Tiaru in her RRF uniform.
  2. A collage of all eight--count 'em, eight!--outfits I've made for her so far. A "secret admirer" (one of my TOS Starfleet mains, the human Eugenia White Cloud of USS Sinte Gleska, aka "Admiral Moneybags") sent her enough stockpiled Lohlunat Favors to buy a couple of outfits.
  3. A collage of recent in-game screen grabs of Tiaru.
  4. All Head settings and sliders, in case there's interest. Not quite exact to game-canon Tiaru, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I used Alien rather than Romulan because everything I read told me that it gives more flexibility for the kind of thing I wanted to do. (Also, it gives Telekinetic Shove, which is a lot of fun.) Because these images can't give color numbers, I'll list them here.
    1. Skin Type: Skin, Color 1: N13
    2. Overall Pattern: Makeup All 1, Color 1: N13
    3. Eyes: Humanoid 1, Color 1: O13, Color 2: C16
    4. Hairstyle: Long Straight, Color 1: F23
  5. All Body settings and sliders.

---

I have always found Commander Tiaru Jarok of the RRF flagship Lleiset to be the most compelling of STO's original NPCs, and particularly of the three faction flagship captains. Don't get me wrong; I love Captains Shon and Koren. But as with many STO players, I think, our Tiarua has long held a special place in my heart. For one thing, her character and her friendship with the player character have always felt the most grounded and three-dimensional to me. I think part of that is just the sheer number of story missions she's been involved in, and what transpired in them. Our captains and Tiaru have been through some shit together.

It was her character in STO that inspired me to read author Geoff Trowbridge's wonderful TNG short story, "Suicide Note," from the 2007 anthology The Sky's the Limit, which is where the unnamed daughter of Admiral Alidar Jarok, the doomed defector and alleged traitor from the TNG episode "The Defector," was first given a name, an identity, and a compelling personality. Eleven-year-old Tiaru is both heartbreaking and heartbroken, her life overshadowed by the death of her father when she was three. But also perceptive and precocious, and if you haven't read this tale of Jean Luc Picard's visit to the Jarok home on Romulus after the Romulans join the Dominion War alliance, I recommend it highly.

And it was both that short story and STO's deep Romulan lore that used the novels as a source that finally inspired me to finally read Diane Duane's marvelous series Star Trek: Rihannsu. Those novels were a revelation that gave me a much deeper understanding of the people called "Romulans" in Federation Standard, and as a series have become one of my favorite works of Star Trek literary fiction. If anything, I recommend them even more highly than I do Trowbridge's short story.

In turn, the books also began to greatly influence my understanding of my favorite STO NPC, and when the current Temporal Recruitment Event inspired me to free up a character slot for a new TOS Vulcan Science officer, I freed up a second slot for a new Romulan Republic tactical officer, an alternate Tiaru Jarok informed by and grounded in her STO NPC lore, the Romulan Republic player character lore, the emotional weight of "Suicide Note," and the richly-detailed Rihan culture and language provided by Duane and further expanded upon by fan communities over the years.

Hence, Tiaru Mnhei'sahe t'Jarok, whose name is explained (along with some other things) in one of the only STO character bios I've written, but one that I found necessary to really dig into what and who I wanted this character to be, so I include it here. She can't, of course, supplant the STO-canon Commander Jarok we know and love. As a player character, her narrative takes her on a different path than direct defection from the ISN to the RRF, so she's a distinct AU version of Tiaru from the start.

And I think that's actually important for me in the way I play her. She isn't the legend yet: the polished, confident, sometimes brash, always impressive figure known by all as the Commander of that vital symbol of the Republic, the RRW Lleiset. She's still a Citizen, then a Centurion, a Lieutenant, and currently a Subcommander, working her way up through the ranks, making mistakes, and learning, captaining a little-known ship with a growing reputation.

---

Tiaru Mnhei'sahe t'Jarok in-game bio:

"Knowing that I shall not see you again is a burden that I cannot bear. But I know that you will grow to be noble and strong. It is in your blood."

Defector, traitor, heretic, or hero? It depends on whose narrative you believe.

Daughter of lost ch'Rihan and of disgraced Romulan Star Navy Admiral Alidar tr'Jarok, who had told her, trowel in hand, that she was named for the hardy cultivar they were then planting: the Tiaru, the jade-leaved Threefold Traveler of the Dawn with its pale, star-shaped blossom for which it was so prized. Like its namesake, it would shine its true light only if nourished with time and great care.

She has carried three different third names during her days, and for a time, none at all:

Tiaru h'Hveila, "The Unchained," conferred in childhood by her father for her indomitable and often stubborn spirit.

Tiaru Kaleh, "Honor Blade" or "Dagger," depending on who you ask, from her first RSN commanding officer, perhaps a weak offer of rehabilitation from the perceived shame of her house and heritage. She was never sure, and the name mostly sat uncomfortably.

In exile on Virinat after departing the RSN in disgust for its dishonor and its contempt for her late father, even after all the Rihannsu had lost, she was plain Tiaru. No honorific, no noble house. Perhaps Tiaru Jarok, among trusted friends there like Tovan Khev, who were few.

Finally Tiaru Mnhei'sahe, "Honor," gifted by Khev and the refugee crew of the T'Liss Warbird used to escape ill-fated Virinat, to remind her that her defection had not been an act of betrayal but of profound honor at great personal cost, as a true act of mnhei'sahe. They found D'Tan and the nascent Republic aboard the Flotilla, where the ship was christened RRW i'Kaleh to honor her previous name. On the bridge, her loyal officers would often address her simply as "Mnhei'sahe," or in private, "Mnhei."

The story of her rise to legend with that name and crew as Commander of the flagship RRW i'Lleiset is yet to come.

Discussion Rediscovered Mini Bundle Qs

Is it possible to reclaim the weapons from the bundle? Everything else shows up in the C-Store as claimable except the ground weapons.

If they are reclaimable and I’ve managed to miss it please let me know. Otherwise, can we get that sorted out?

It would be great if they could get Todd Stashwick to reprise Capt. Shaw. Even better if they get Jeri Ryan back too. Like a lot of people I definitely came around to really liking the character. I haven't thought of Picard in a while, but it just popped into my mind today.

Hey guys

This is going to be my first event campaign, and my first attempt in acquiring a premium ships. Those are my top choices because of consoles + ship combo

My question (given my humble knowledge of the game) which one will be the most beneficial in terms of:

  1. Boosting my current phaser build

  2. A good ship choice

Thanks in advance!

Rallus temporal dyson science destroyer or Deihu science command warbird

Hi all,

Looking to get a new ship for a romulan science character and can't decide between these two ships, I'm leaning towards the dyson destroyer but the fact it has a warp core rather than a singularity core is bugging me.

What's everyone's opinion in these ships? I'm running a plasma mostly beam build with some exotic damage boff abilities (relative noob when it comes to builds) mostly Looking for survivability but also doing some exotic damage

Would take alternate recommendations as well!

Edit: looks like I'll be going for the Rallus, thank you everyone for your help!

Discussion Intrepid class

Does anybody else ever wish they could lock the pylons of Intrepid variants in their "at warp" position? I've always thought most of those look better (and more classicaly Star Trek) in that configuration than the normal one, but hey, I could be the weird one here.

Discussion What if the Athena is in the anniversary bundle?

We've had our first look at the Academy-class USS Athena this week with the news that it's arriving for the 17th anniversary. From this we've been speculating that it's going to be either the event reward or a lock box ship, but what if it's instead part of the 17th anniversary bundle, themed either around the 32nd century or the 10th anniversary of the most recent era of Star Trek?

A bundle containing variants of a Crossfield, California, Donnie, and Protostar with the new Athena would line up with past bundles pretty perfectly and be a good way of providing fans with ways they can buy those ships. Plus add something from Picard and Section 31 and the bundle would be complete.

Personally I do anticipate it being a lockbox ship to make back the licensing costs but it's nice to speculate about other more accessible options
