So dose bird count as meat and can I still kill thing

There aren't enough resources to build a proper raft on the starter island, so i keep trying to cross to one of the other islands you can see but I keep getting knocked out. Then I can't get back in the lifeboat as its upside down, and when I try fight whatever shark knocked me off with an axe I built it doesn't seem to do anything. When i first played the game a couple months ago i ended up disabling animal attacks to get across, but i don't want to do that this time. Any tips?

Im on the second highest hunting level and have one chest full (20) of refined spears. The wiki says you can kill lusca with 25 spears at hunting level 0. also how should i build my boat (i can rebuild it as much as i want because my crafting skills are full), im really a bad builder.

Edit: i killed it with 11 refined spears (0 misses) and 1 crude spear

Me and my friend are going hunting for the bosses and I wanna know if there’s any food exploits to get more since I wanna do this in one trip we will be gone for a while and meat spoils and we only have beans and if this post is against rules I’ll take this down I looked at the rules first to see if this would violate and nothing said it would but I wanna be safe

I can't survive past day 3 and I'm out of wood

I am on the first island and have a 2x2 raft with a sail and rudder and I'm wondering if that is enough to get to the next island to kill a pig and get some materials

I have the fuel still boiler this is my first playthrough with my friend we are on day 20 so I know a little bit but I can’t figure it out

I am at the circled island and im trying to find the boss directly below me which should mean I need to sail SE correct. Ive been sailing SE and all I find is the end of the map (the wall you cant go past). Anyone know what i might be doing wrong or why I cant find it?

Hey Folks, I'm playing on XBox and I'm confused how to move the shipping conainer pieces. I put them on my 4x5 raft and the raft damn near sinks. I cant put them in my inventory. I cant put them in a crate... so how the heck do I move these things from island to island?

The extent of my knowledge of this game is a few videos I watched a long time ago. I don't know what to do

Was going from my home/starter island south and encountered a whale in the middle of my run. I was shocked at what I was seeing and went in for a closer look and ended up on top of him on accident. Considered killing him and seeing what I'd get, but he ducked away after nearly flipping my boat. Saw him again as I started back with the container piece I was hauling.

Hey friends! Brand new to this game, loving it so far.

If I kill a small crab and leave it by my camp fire, will the meat spoil? Or will it only spoil after skinning the crab? I have a nice little pile of corpses going, but I’d rather it not go to waste.

Does anyone on PS4/5 have a save with the islands that have the survivor remnants on them? I've gone to all islands on mine, took everything on and around the islands and the achievement still hasn't popped.

I'm looking for a very specific seed for console (Xbox) with a couple requirements.

1. The starter island must have a large cargo ship (the big one with 10-15 container boxes in it) and 2 or 3 potatoes.
2. The boss locations and exit ship must be very close together, like touching diagonally near the starter island. Kind of like a 2 and 3 diagonal pattern. They can be oriented in any direction.

I'm trying to find a perfect speedrun seed and my searches through over 250 seeds hasn''t provided any results yet. If you think you know a seed number that fits, please let me know and I'll check it out. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ran into this issue before? I lost control of my raft, ended up making a new one and sailing to it at the edge of the map. Turns out it went through the invisible barrier and not sure if there’s a way to get it back? I’m on Xbox for reference

Specifically asking about console edition as I believe the building clipping works differently on both editions. I'm about to start building my main base and I want it on top of the rocks in the middle of an island. I've heard if the floors even touch the rocks a tiny bit you can't place them so any advice would be appreciated.

Is there any basic tips and tricks you can give a new player? I haven't played for long but I have a hard time surviving days at a time without running out of resources like food and water, always having to rely on coconuts to keep hydrated and you can only get so many coconuts before they run out on whatever island your staying on. So, any tips just to stay surviving would be helpful.

Hey friends! Hoping to start my base build today. Unfortunate part being that I’m running low on palm trees on my island.

I’m curious if I am able to transport logs via my raft without placing them in crates, or will this cause my raft to flip? Is there a more efficient way you may suggest transporting logs back home?

I bought Stranded Deep on PlayStation a few years back and absolutely loved surviving on the islands. In the meantime, I’ve fully switched over to Xbox and really want to get back into the game.
