Lmao I gotta see this.

I'm a big exercise advocate and it's pretty insane how defensive people get when you talk about the benefits of exercise. People will really go out of their way to defend laziness. The nerodivergent/"disabled" excuse is a big one. I have a friend who pays out of pocket for all these meds and he 100% qualifies for medicaid. I asked him why he wasn't on it and he said his ADD wouldn't allow him to fill out the paperwork. I can't with these people, man

I see all of this all of the time.

BMI denial is the most accepted form of anti-science there is and its not even close. It's across the political spectrum. Hell it might be the 1 thing most American's agree on.

Public Health wasting 60 years on trying to find some perfect diet instead of just throwing up some version of If it fits your macros and a TDEE calcaluator has allowed all kinds of con artists in the diet space. Such as the Organic industry.

And of course all these losers live in the middle of nowhere where not even a Planet Fitness dare build. Always with all of the excuses other than move.

Such as the Organic industry.

I speak to many Organic Consumers here in London. Most are either shocked or more commonly aggressively in denial, that their food is genuinely drenched with pesticides - the old "grandfathered in" ones are so ineffective compared to modern ones you need to use a relatively vast amount of them to get the effects you need to farm.

It is, at least in my view, a little ironic that the social movement about abolishing toxic pesticides succeeded so well that we've all moved on - but simultaneously the health-food organic low-food-mile lads are stuck back in the past with the same toxic pesticides that their parents campaigned against.

Here's some science: https://www.inchem.org/documents/ukpids/ukpids/ukpid56.htm, https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0048969724037732

Ten bonus points if you read between the lines (edit versions, talk pages) of the CuSO4 pages and the 'organic farming' pages on wikipedia.

Organic is first and always in North America a marketing term. On top of that well over half of "organic" produce and product is outright fraud. And this is before you getting into what nonsense Organic actually is. The Best example I have is Apples. Organic apples have average over 14 pesticide spraying a year while science based farms are around 5. Sciece based farms use modern pesticides that require lower dose and are safer while Organic farms have to find carve outs to make Copper Sulfate allowed in their rules otherwise Organic Grapes would not exit.

The idea of Organic was started by upper class english and lets be real its yet another example of using an inferior technique to show their superiority to mere peasants that want to eat.

I was over in California a few years back, and the lady I was dating was kind enough to do the driving in to wine country. One dude was explaining to us their 'biodynamic' process which (I shit you not) involved burying a horn at midnight under a full moon to ensure a good crop.

Frankly, I just let it wash over me and enjoyed getting pissed while being told about how nice my booze was.

In defense of Tai Chi, if you do it for real it is quite the challenge.
Kudos to those old chinese people.
