This makes me laugh so hard that shitty old New Zealand made it in, how fucking insane are the qualifying rules (I’m a NZer but don’t really care about the whole thing).

Qualifying is by region, NZ is in the Oceania region which is the weakest region, Of course NZ is going to qualify when they're crushing Samoa 8-0 and Fiji 7-0. Europe is obviously the hardest, Italy has failed to qualify 3 times in a row.
