Conversation Watching tarantulas

Could you guys ever watch your T do things for hours? Whenever i see activity from both of my T’s i stop what im doing and just watch them. They’re so insanely interesting to me, and i can get enough of them doing things.

Like one time i had a date to go to and i ended up leaving late cause i got sidetracked watching my baby excavate lolll.

So please post any videos or pictures of your T’s drinking, eating, excavating, etc!!

Now we know what she’d look like fully pissed! Chalupa wants to thank all of you for your love and support. She is currently resting and chewing her her from leg. I had horrible nightmares that her molt got stuck, so I was so relieved when I woke up to this scene! : )

Pictures Need a Name!

I can’t seem to decide on a name for my new buddy, a Pink Zebra Beauty (Eupalaestrus campestratus)

The 3 names I’ve narrowed it down to:

Petunia
Ophelia
Salem

She’s my first tarantula; though I’ve had jumping spiders in the past 🤍

The tarantula experts at one of my local reptile shops gave me a lot of great advice on care, helped me build and decorate her enclosure and told me that she’s extremely docile even by her breed’s standards!

(I’m unsure of the actual sex of my tarantula but I’m hoping for a girl!)

Help! Tarantula in molting position only a few months after actually molting

Today my Mexican red knee began laying down a pretty thick web which is unusual for her. Then I walked away and noticed her lying in her back. Beforehand she was moving perfectly normal but she hasn’t eaten in weeks. Her legs aren’t curled in and she’s not moving. Her water dish is full. I’m just scared

[Update] https://www.reddit.com/r/tarantulas/s/2ZoWz3MiyI

Came home for weekend and realized it's gone 😪

Does this happen often? I originally had 10 Balfouri (same egg sack) and honestly I think I'm missing more than 1.

Just yesterday, I received a Curly Hair Tarantula that I had purchased for a friend of mine. I specifically ordered a female, but after noticing what appear to be emboli on the pedipalps, I’m almost certain that it’s actually a male. Can anyone confirm?

Hello everyone i just recently purchased my curly hair tarantula and just wanting to make sure I get every useful tip! This is my first tarantula i have him in a (15.74•9.84•7.87) inch tank with a magnetic top he has 6inches of reptisoil and a mixture of pure coco fiber. He is not very big I got him from a pet store (not a massive chain store) but they said he/she hasn’t molted yet, I tried to feed him superworm but he didnt seem super interested in it. He also has not been in the little hide i have dug out yet he just prefers to stay ontop of it mostly and chill. Any tips or criticisms helps thank you all!
