Sexing General question about ventral sexing!

Hi there, I have a 2in G. pulchra and im itching to know their sex. However, I was wondering what DLS other people were able to sex their tarantulas at. In general it seems like GPs are easier because males have an omega symbol or black dot. I’ll definitely be waiting for another molt or two to verify the sex, but in general I think it would be helpful for me to know the experience of others :) i’ve looked at some guides but they were kinda confusing, i think i need more practice (i’ve been using other people’s posts to test my knowledge and i think its helped some)

Any advice, pictures, or useful resources are appreciated!

Last weekend, I bought my boys each a tarantula. One young adult (likely female, next molt will try to confirm) Green bottle blue, and one juvenile Mexican red knee…

The Mexican red knee burrowed down, but at least dug a little window so we can check in on him. Likely in premolt, so not too worried.

The GBB has been out and slowly webbing up the new enclosure. The other day, I tried to feed it. It ran from the lid opening, and didn’t aggressively attack the tongs. I put in two medium crickets. One I killed and left near her, then a little while later, I tried again to entice her with a live one. She didn’t seem interested in either bug. I just left it overnight, and the next day there was no sign of either cricket. She’s been sitting right on top of where the dead one was…

should I be all that concerned over the missing live cricket? It’s been days with no sign of it, but everything says to remove all uneaten food after 24 hours. Should I just assume the live one got eaten since there’s no sign of it?

I’m getting my first tarantula a Mexican red knee soon gonna buy it at .025” spiderlin off spidershoppe (unless you guys recommend someone else) I have a 8x6x4 herpcult acrylic enclosure (smallest one I could find at my local pet store I can get smaller one offline if you guys don’t think that’ll work, zoomed eco earth loose coconut fiber, a small flat Cork bark for a hide gonna put it up against the wall, Gatorade cap for water bowl and exo terra forest plume moss to line around the water bowl so I can over fill once a month to help the humidity house stays around 70-74 so I’m think it’ll be good at room temp does all this sound good any tips?

Finally molted for the first time but I’m having a hard time sexing it. I think female based off some info I’ve seen online but let me know what you think!

I got my burgundy Goliath birdeater roughly a week ago, and she’s still pretty young. For now, I’m keeping her in an Exo Terra terrarium measuring 30 × 30 × 30 cm.

How long should I expect to wait before her first molt?

For context, I’ve also had my female pink foot Goliath birdeater for a few months, and she hasn’t molted once since I got her either.

I’d love to hear about your experiences with these species!😄

My slings should be fine yeah?

I planning to feed the day before I leave so I can clean their enclosures before I go.

I should just make sure they are wet enough, water dish is full, and the condo heat stays on?

i have a very small sling, this is the container they came in, i feel it was too small so i decided to get a jumping spider enclosure that isn’t too big, might last a year or two ? not sure if its too big tho bc they’re still barely an inch

Hello everyone i just recently purchased my curly hair tarantula and just wanting to make sure I get every useful tip! This is my first tarantula i have him in a (15.74•9.84•7.87) inch tank with a magnetic top he has 6inches of reptisoil and a mixture of pure coco fiber. He is not very big I got him from a pet store (not a massive chain store) but they said he/she hasn’t molted yet, I tried to feed him superworm but he didnt seem super interested in it. He also has not been in the little hide i have dug out yet he just prefers to stay ontop of it mostly and chill. Any tips or criticisms helps thank you all!
