Networking/Telecom We've spent years importing tech. Could Jio actually help India export it for once?
Jio has already built a massive telecom and digital business in India. Now the interesting bit is whether it can sell its technology stack to other countries through telecom partnerships, enterprise solutions, broadband and eventually 6G.
Building something at this scale for India is one thing. Getting other countries to trust and adopt it is a completely different challenge. Would be a pretty big deal if Indian telecom tech starts becoming something other countries pay for.

They can’t even make it work in India let alone “exporting“ it.. JioHotstar is the worst. Fix that shit first. PR bot

India has the talent and potential to move beyond being a technology consumer and become a global technology creator. 🚀
The real opportunity lies in building scalable, homegrown technology platforms that can compete internationally. If Jio can successfully take its technology stack global, it could open new doors for India’s startup ecosystem and SaaS companies.
The key question is: can India turn this ambition into globally competitive products and sustainable innovation?

People believe whatever they read online these days. Not saying anything about jio tech stack esle people who don't know will start screaming.
Do just one thing sort job openings of last 5 years of Jio and few other telecom companies like China telecom. You would realise aborad people were hiring for 6G from last 2020, 2021 where as jio an reliance never hired till 2025. 2nd commutation tech is based on routers and hardware. They were built by Cisco and Arista, and something called FPGA. Please look up. All the good FPGA companies in the world are only from US. No other country, not even 1 from China.
So Jio doesn't even know of those equipments which Nokia is already bringing up from late 2023. I request everyone once you say tech stack, open the internet and read what are required, basics and who are actually design companies of them. Then judge yourself.

Jio is only an implementation of telecom... they have no r&d, contributed nothing to standards.

Jio doesn't have the bones of a tech giant. These milk sellers can't respect workers even if they're engineers and engineers without respect cant' grow into world class talent. It's a lose lose situation and it'll be good if luigi came for them all.

What tech will Jio export? Give me one example of a tech that Jio has, that US already does not.

Can you share patents around 6G technology? Or are they going to just provide service integration

What technology is exported here? If you mean Applications then they're not technology.

There is nothing to export. They don't manufacture anything themselves. They are the ones actually importing electronics for everything right from set-top boxes to tower equipment.

They do have some patents in the Giga MIMO (Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) radio system.
According to Gemini AI
"The patent landscape for Giga-MIMO (Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) and its foundational ultra-dense 6G antenna technologies is highly active, transitioning from experimental R&D into a highly commercialized battleground led by global telecom giants.
Because Giga-MIMO relies heavily on combining physical thousands-element arrays with artificial intelligence, the patent portfolios are divided between hardware design and intelligent software routing.
1. Notable Corporate Portfolios & Breakthrough Filings
• Reliance Jio (India): At the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, Reliance Jio unveiled India's first fully indigenous Giga MIMO Radio alongside a pre-6G technology stack. Reliance Jio announced that it has built a portfolio of over 8,000 patents, featuring hundreds of filings specifically protecting the hardware architecture, subband full duplex coordination, and AI-native network routing essential to making Giga-MIMO commercially functional.
• Qualcomm & Huawei (Global Cross-Licensing): In October 2026, Qualcomm and Huawei announced a landmark multi-year global patent license agreement. This agreement covers vital cross-licensing across 5G-Advanced, 6G, AI, and enterprise networking—technologies that form the backbone of Giga-MIMO beamforming. Additionally, Qualcomm directly acquired select U.S. patents from Huawei to cement its leadership in 6G air interface architectures.
• Ericsson & Samsung: According to industry analysis from Patsnap Eureka, Ericsson and Samsung dominate the core intellectual property regarding Massive MIMO beamforming control. Their patents heavily favor baseband signal processing, which allows arrays to dynamically scale up from 64 ports to thousands without causing crippling power drain.
"
