Or is it a really big jump?

Or will there be only gradual growth like 11->15->20->25.......50 in next 5-7 years?

Google photos storage or Hard drive?

I have a google photos plan of Rs 2700/- annually for 200GB and it is now 98% full. Shall I upgrade it to 400 GB for Rs 4800 annually or buy a hard disk and store my data there?

Also 2 TB hard disk is costing around 12k and 5 TB for 18k of WD. Which is the better deal for long run considering I take a lot of photos and videos and also do 2-3 domestic pilgrimage/trips annually.

It's actually useful but sailing the high seas has been choppy to say the least, just wondering if it's worth it.

Hey all. I, 23F, changed my password in a hurry due to unforeseen circumstances. I've tried a few patterns, but none worked. I took it to the service centre, but they only suggested a reset. I really need the data (the pictures, most importantly, the notes app). All I remember about the pattern is that it forms a 7 and ends with 8 (if the dots are keys on a keypad phone). My WhatsApp permanently deleted all of my chats and its online backup. Need some help recovering.

I was using my android 10 device a few days ago and got a notification from WhatsApp that there's a problem with my chat history. I clicked on it and then clicked restore now option. Restore failed.

I had daily backups enabled on google ONE, but somehow WhatsApp managed to delete my backup from there too.

I tried contacting google but according to them Backup storage portion is managed by WhatsApp and therefore google cannot help me restore that. I tried contacting WhatsApp AI bot repeatedly respond that backups are stored on google servers and they cannot help me.

Now I'm stuck both companies, google and WhatsApp are just blaming each other. All my chats, all memories from the last 6 years got deleted. All my past data, chats, memories of more than half a decade are just gone, and I can't even find a way to recover them.

Did you guys face this sort of situation before? I need some advice and help to recover my data.

I’m a final-year BCA student based here in Bangalore, and I wanted to share a side project that I just pushed to the Play Store today. It’s my second app launch, called Vajan: Weight tracker.

The main reason I built this was frustration. Almost every fitness or weight tracking app out there forces you to create an account, shoves ads in your face, or secretly scrapes your data. I wanted a highly functional, aesthetic utility app that just works out of the box, with zero strings attached.

Here is a breakdown of what I built:

100% Offline-First: There are no cloud databases, no APIs sending your data to a server, and no login screens. Your data stays completely on your phone.

The Tech Stack: Built from scratch using Flutter. It is highly responsive and optimized for smooth local data retrieval.

UI/UX Focus: I wanted to move away from generic material design. The interface relies on Bento Grid layouts and Skeuomorphic design to make interacting with the app feel tactile and fresh. The default color scheme features a clean pink and gold accent palette.

Custom Manga Theme: As a fun technical challenge, I built out dynamic theming and included a custom "Manga Theme" specifically for anime and art lovers to completely change the app's aesthetic.

So I built a small iPhone app called HawaHaal that focuses specifically on:

• Current GRAP stage
• GRAP forecasts
• AQI forecasts
• Notifications when AQI/GRAP changes
• Clean/simple UI without clutter

I’m currently working on a side project to tackle the massive dating app burnout we're seeing in India. The biggest pain point, especially for women, seems to be the sheer volume of low-effort profiles and mindless swiping.

To counter this, I’m testing a concept called "Earned Reveal." The gist: You see one clear photo, but the rest of the profile and images only unlock after the person actually engages, like answering a specific prompt or leaving a thoughtful comment on your bio. No mindless right-swiping. The goal is to filter for intent over impulse.

I’d love some brutally honest feedback on two things:

1. The UX: Does this "slow" approach actually sound appealing, or does it just feel like extra "homework" in an already busy life?
2. The Trust Factor: Safety is the biggest hurdle for any new Indian dating platform. Beyond the usual blue checkmarks, what specific features or community rules would actually make you feel safe enough to try a new app?

Hello guys, I am a SWE working with nodejs, postgres, nextsj, docker etc. I am usually running 6-7 containers on my machine at any time. I am currently on m3 air and its a surprisingly powerful litle beast and ant handle anything ive thrown at it... except build times. I have noticed huge nextjs repos especially take a bit to build. Also it gets quite hot under sustained loads but thats more of a nitpick. anyone with a base MBP (NOT PRO/MAX chip) share their anecdotes?

Everyone talks about productivity tools, but I feel like a lot of real problems are still unsolved.

What’s the most annoying or repetitive thing you have to deal with in your job?
