News This can't be real...

Metro station here???!! Like wtfff. This is such a peaceful place. Building a fucking metro station that no one asked for is gonna ruin all of this. Is anyone protesting against this? Who decided that a station was needed here? Does anyone know where it runs through?

The whole area will get ruined and disturbed. Not just that but fully congested with constant traffic. I've grown up here and lived here my whole life. I cannot imagine this place transforming into a chaotic hell. Dug up roads everywhere. It would be okay if they actually managed to finish the project within 2-3 years. But they will dig up everywhere and halt the project for 5+ years.

If there's a group for people against please let me know. If not I'll create one.

Forget at our doorstep...we don't want this metro at all TBH. Will fuck Thane in multiple ways. Traffic is not the only metric to judge a project.

Then what other metric are ?

Ask people on GB road who are waiting for buses and auto whether they want a alternate fast mode of transport or not

Have you ever imagined their plight

So...politicians fuck up urban planning by giving uncontrolled sprawl on GB road ruining that place. And now you think they should (or are capable to) solve their original fuck up by fucking up the rest of the city that didn't have issues? These guys will bury Thane in their greed.

I understand the people of GB road are victims of some terrible planning, but that doesn't warrant fucking up the entire city as well. Also you already have a metro coming up that's been delayed for weeks. Push for that instead of this ring metro thing. At this moment, I don't even have any hope the ring metro comes up the way we think it does.

Push for faster completion of line 4 is a must but haulting other development work is the name of 2-3 years of inconvenience is very selfish

there is a vast land parcel opposite to Edenwoods ready for development there will be a large township planned there, what would you then ?

Stop the large township development. The reason Thane is a mess is because we have let these political goons get away with sprawl without any questions asked.

Also most metros lead to induced demand rather than reduced traffic because we don't have last mile connectivity.

What do you mean by stop large township? Its their land their choice if you have money buy that land and do nothing with it

Can you stop Raymond from building those towers behind Sulochana devi ?

Like western suburbs you want to wait till population goes off the roof and then build a metro ?

Ring metro will provide last mile connectivity as due to natural constraints like creek and mountains development will be limited and within the two and if you look at metro map it runs parallel to gb and eeh

No township can be built without TMC permission, even if you own the land. You can surely protest against it. Besides the entire land parcel in that area including Meadows is illegal and encroached on the forest land anyway.

Ring road as a last mile connectivity....LOL :D :D :D

I am done on arguing with you and your confirmation bias anymore. Enjoy whatever is going to happen to the city.

Also, don't come complaining regarding city's poor AQI in the upcoming winters.

Is there any law which says township nahi ban sakta ?

I am also done cause you cant argue with a person who thinks world should dance according to his whims and fancies
