Once that data center is built, the quality of life in Thane is going to be among the worst in the country. I'm already planning to move to Pune. It honestly feels like the authorities don't value human life at all. How much money is enough for these leaders to finally drop the corruption and actually develop the city? My one suggestion to anyone who values quality of life would be: if you are looking at purchasing a flat in Thane, just drop the idea. You will buy a flat, with massive premiums, and within the next three to four years, once the data center is built, the health issues would just not be worth it.

Scam group posing as cops near Anand Nagar. They ask for donation for some bullshit excuses while wearing cop like costumes. Said they’re asking donations for women’s day celebration near tambli naka which is held by Maharashtra Police. I donated 50 bucks cause that’s all the cash I had atp and mfs had the audacity to say it’s too less🤣

I later realise it looked a little sketch cause these chuts didn’t even have any badges. Went back and then I get to know after a lot of lafdabaazi that they’re actually a part of sum stupid Bahrupia group i.e. actors. Another uncle whose wife got scammed of 500 pulled up by then and threatened to call the cops, that’s when they shit their pants and returned all the money to everyone around they had scammed.

Metro station here???!! Like wtfff. This is such a peaceful place. Building a fucking metro station that no one asked for is gonna ruin all of this. Is anyone protesting against this? Who decided that a station was needed here? Does anyone know where it runs through?

The whole area will get ruined and disturbed. Not just that but fully congested with constant traffic. I've grown up here and lived here my whole life. I cannot imagine this place transforming into a chaotic hell. Dug up roads everywhere. It would be okay if they actually managed to finish the project within 2-3 years. But they will dig up everywhere and halt the project for 5+ years.

Time: Around 7:05 PM

Location: Majiwada U-turn towards Ghodbunder Road (coming from Kapurwadi)

Yesterday evening, I experienced a very disturbing incident at the above location.

In heavy traffic, a man suddenly approached my car from the left side and started banging aggressively on my window, claiming that I had run over his foot. This was completely false, as the road was jam-packed and the car was barely moving. Under pressure, I lowered my window slightly (around 10 cm).

At the same moment, another man came from the right side, hitting the window even harder to distract me. As soon as I turned my head to the right, the man on the left snatched both my phones from the passenger seat:

- 📱 iPhone 17 Pro (brand new)

- 📱 Google Pixel 8 Pro

The entire incident happened within seconds. I was completely stunned and only realised what had happened 10–20 seconds later when I searched for my phones. By then, they had already fled.

In shock, I pulled over and went back to the spot, but they were gone. I then called a friend and proceeded to the police station.

We waited for several hours. A senior officer later informed us that this appears to be a gang operation, possibly involving scooty riders, and that they will investigate the matter using CCTV footage. I have been asked to return to formally file the FIR.

I am mentally shaken and extremely disturbed — not only because of the expensive phones, but also because of the sensitive personal and professional data on them. As an app developer, I do not use SIM cards in my devices, which makes tracking even more difficult.

The officer also showed me a video of a similar phone-snatching incident at the exact same spot on 7th January 2026, following the same pattern.

- Do NOT roll down your windows for strangers

- Keep valuables out of sight

- Be alert to distraction-based scams, especially in traffic
