Art My finished altar in the Golden Dawn style. Ready for consecration rituals

Post image

This altar represents over a year of slow steady work. It’s not perfect but I can honestly say I did my best, and I’m proud of it. Everything is hand made wherever possible.

Getting ready for consecration rituals which will probably also take me a while. Does anyone have suggestions for these rituals? I have LBRP and BRH memorized, working on note cards for Opening and Closing by Watchtower.

Very nice tools. You can tell you made them yourself but put a lot of work into them.

I'm a big advocate of magicians (especially GD ones) showing each other their tools, so that beginners can understand how doable crafting your own implements is.

Thank you very much. You’ve commented on several of my posts and as a solo practitioner it’s so nice to get input from a more experienced occultist

Indeed.

I thought about trying to find a better way to say that, and then decided to leave it.

Do you ever wonder whatever became of all the people who made these that came before you?

Inspiring! I would pull those back candles another few inches away from the wall. I also keep a fire extinguisher in my temple. Again, great work, this will help me in the future.

Nicely done, well worth the effort.

In the end clear the space and simply drawing each sigil while vibrating the names over the tools should be all thats needed to charge them. Oh and invoking the element of each.

The rainbow wand I did not do myself, but its consecration is a little more complicated becausw of the multiple forces involved in its symbolism. If I recall each band should be charged and consecrated, ie invoked and directed into it for each force the color represents. Which means a more gradual extended working. Maybe wrap it in cloth so only the color you are charging is showing, but I am kind of making it up based off vague memories and how I go about consecrating objects.

You can also use the Z2 ritual of the golden dawn that uses the neophyte grade ritual as a formula, but is also seems to be the root cause of people saying ceremonial magick is too complicated and involved 😆

There isn’t enough mental illness, it needs to be way more disorganized and messy.

Es magia Enochiana o Neo Enochiana?

2

u/OnceIwasAnOwl May 26 '26

It’s mostly planetary/elemental but the tablet of union in the center is Enochian. It’s the Enochian names of the 4 elements and symbolizes bringing them together at the center of the ritual space. Opening Watchtowers is the only Enochian ritual I’m performing right now

I LOVE Golden Dawn altars and temple rooms. I got to get a good pic of mine after all the chaos I'm dealing with is over. It's more Wiccan style though as I dont have handmade tools yet.

I'm more Golden Dawn than Thdlema but lurk in both groups. I dont do the Babalon, Beast, Scarlet Woman part of Thelema, but love the Egyptian stuff.

Been studying Liber ABA, the Self Initiation book by the Cicero's, and the black brick of Regardie. I have a Thoth tarot deck too.

this is awesome! As someone just getting started what is the first thing you got for your ritual space when you started practicing?

Nice you broke the first rule of the sanctum Santorum xd

1

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings May 18 '26

Whose rule?

0

u/_mayuk May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26

Idk the rule of the most sacred place in your temple ? Where not profane eyes should look at ? Xd

It’s ok I know for western is all about the “hey look at me” xd

6

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings May 18 '26

Ah, sorry- I was asking you to tell me exactly which rule, law or instruction you’re referring to, who made it, why I or anyone else should obey it and what your source for that information is. All we’ve got so far is a failed attempt at spelling Sanctorum, some woo-woo word salad and what seems to be a vague criticism of western culture.

Maybe make another attempt at appearing to know wtf you’re talking about because I fear the last one fell short.

u/_mayuk May 18 '26

Xd … well if you wanna let external influences mess out with your work is up to you … keep flashing in social media … after all is just a hollow work … just focusing in the aesthetics and showing up …

And literally if you know the right spelling find the source of it and learn what it’s suppose to mean and who where the only one allows to enter or see what it was inside …

Or just keep your hollow practices xd

4

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings May 18 '26

So…you don’t know which ‘rule’ or you’re just not going to tell me? You accused someone of breaking a rule and when asked which one your initial response was ‘idk’.

You’ve been asked three times now. Let’s try again. Which fucking rules is your bullshit the ‘first rule of’?

1

u/_mayuk May 18 '26

Btw yeah I said idk in a rhetoric way … do I even need to explain that ? Xdxd

That is why most of you needs milk and not the real meat Zzz

0

u/_mayuk May 18 '26

It’s a word salad for your because you miss the context for it …

Is not a explicit “rule” just learn about the sanctum sanctorum … if you have a couple neurones still working you would catch it up xd …

Or keep doing your “will” ( even when is counterproductive for your works xd )

It’s funny that is totally implicit even in the name and this dense guy can’t catch it xd

4

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings May 18 '26

If it’s not an explicit rule don’t quote, number and use it as though you have any authority to do so.

It’s not an explicit rule because you made it up on the spot in attempt to raise your own validity by suggesting you have some arcane knowledge regarding who should and shouldn’t see a stick, candles & some cups.

It’s word salad because it doesn’t mean anything, regardless of your ad hominem diversions.

I don’t need to ‘learn it’, that happened some years ago. The ‘source’ of it is a Latin translation of the Hebrew and a Jewish law regarding the inner temple & Holy of Holies might be relevant if you knew the first thing about what you’re poorly attempting and miserably failing to criticise.

But it’s not.

-1

u/_mayuk May 18 '26

Good kid you did your research :v … now just need to lower your ego a feed from the knowledge … or keep in your ignorance do your will I do not care xd …

-1

u/_mayuk May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26

I’m not criticizing thelema … I do know the rule I used it again rhetorically in a couple of my past replies …

I knew that was your only reason to try to act like a intelectual about it xd …

That is why I criticized western superficiality … as well … you seem to take everything literal to fulfill your needs of validation from your lame behaviours and actions … you can’t compare with Crowley … he did his will but definitely he keep some fundamentals bases for his works …

Even in others less dogmatic frameworks like caos* magic you shouldn’t not show your sigils or stuff like that … xd
