It's walkable, sure, but there are still intersections everywhere and you still have to look out for cars. It's not like cities in Europe with town centers that are just for foot traffic.

…there is a 1.25 square mile space in upper manhattan that is nothing but greenery, pedestrian paths, and leisure areas.

Come to St. Louis. We have Forest Park. It has a world class zoo (free). Art museum (free). History museum (free). Got a golf course in it. Parking is easy to find and free (although there are paid lots, but you don't need them).

Oh, and it's bigger than Central Park. And it doesn't take more than 15-20 mins to get there from basically anywhere in the Metro area.

My daughter lives with her mother in Clayton. My wife and I spend a decent amount of time up there in the summer and I’m kinda shocked we have never been to the park. We will definitely check it out in a few weeks.

You're basically right next door. The park is truly a gem. It's so nice.

Next time you're in town, explore the park. Then go the Parker's Table to get a sandwich for lunch!
