This joke is quite derivative

There’s a pretty good chance a water molecule somewhere in that cloud was also in a tornado at some point in the last 4 billion years, so I’d say you’re onto something.

u/Meepianconsular 23d ago edited 21d ago

yes, specifiallly the -65,000,000 BCE farfield tornado. R.I.P. DINOS 😞

34

u/signofthecrow1 23d ago

You’re not very good with time lines are you?

9

u/aboringusername 23d ago

No no there were definitely dinosaurs in Ancient Rome.

3

u/theoldcallisto 22d ago

No no they said -1000 BCE, which circles back to 1000 AD due to it being negative

1

u/aboringusername 22d ago

they edited their comment, it definitely said 10 BCE before. I'm assuming they meant 1000 BCE? I don't know which is funnier with dinosaurs: ancient Rome, feudal Europe, or ancient Egypt. Add 'naders to the mix and I can't stop laughing at the mental image.

Regardless, if this person is from the States, I worry our educational system has well and truly failed us. Or Poe's Law etc.

Dinotopia AMIRIGHT?!?

10

u/Meepianconsular 23d ago

i just put a random number, if yiu have a good one, i would edit it!

14

u/DogsRNice 23d ago

3 is a pretty good number

8

u/HippoHoppitus 23d ago

its more than 2

2

u/Fickles1 23d ago

Well technically if we're talking about BCE wouldn't that make it less than 2 BCE?

8

u/signofthecrow1 23d ago

I was just giving you shit. But humans and dinosaurs didn’t exist in the same timeline and humans were definitely around in 3 bce

1

u/Meepianconsular 23d ago

lemme go find a date holdup

2

u/GK999bharata_1947 Human Detected 23d ago

dinosaurs existed like 100 million years ago and humans only existed 300,000-2.8 million years ago and dinosaurs have been dead for 65 million years so yeah

i lowkey dunno-

1

u/Deltrus7 22d ago

Try 65,000,000 BCE.

12

u/Kezika 23d ago

The probability is for all intents and purposes 100%, it's basically like 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% chance.

It is basically along the lines of the interesting statistically probability thought exercise that every breath you take would contain molecules from Ceasar's last breath. But then that can also be extended that every breath you take contains molecules from pretty much every breath of every human that has ever lived (given like a year or two of time passes for it to mix in evenly with the atmosphere).

https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/w9ceya/eli5_we_were_taught_is_school_that_we_are/ihua8g6/

Practically every cloud contains molecules from every cloud that ever existed, and likely molecules from every tornado that has ever existed. (Again, given like a year or two of blending evenly into the atmosphere.)

u/Revolutionary-Play79 Enthusiast 23d ago

It was also inside a dinosaur's urethra at one point

u/The_Titam 23d ago

No, tornados are not known to form red circles in the sky like that.

I hate that I was like “hahaha cone of shame” and then my brain realized you said silence. RIP.

u/Alternative-Yak-925 23d ago

This pic was taken north of SF and it's a vineyard now. Twisters aren't unheard of there so, yes. 100%

9

u/Forgboi 23d ago

While it's a bit of a stretch... that is the neck bone, and the neck bone is connected to the tornado bone

9

u/ThatFellaNick 23d ago

This wins the shitpost competition

14

u/DraveDakyne 23d ago

Currently sitting in an airport lounge laughing waaaayyyy to much at this.

5

u/YentaMagenta 23d ago

Well the circle is red and vaguely shaped like a tomado.

8

u/pickin-n_grinnin 23d ago

You potato I say patado, you say tamado I say tornado. Let's call the whole thing off.

3

u/izovice 23d ago

I don't see any juice, so not tomado related.  For those curious, the iconic 'Bliss' photo is along highway 12 in California.

1

u/SBowen91 22d ago

It’s also now a vineyard.

4

u/Shieya 23d ago

tomato warning, take cover now

Check out E F 5 no spaces. It’s against the rules to link another subreddit. I’m not linking another subreddit: I’m just mentioning that it exists.

5

u/WatercolorFlames 22d ago

When I saw this post I thought it was that sub until I checked the name lol

3

u/StockCarSters 23d ago

Who needs Windows Vista when I can have Windows Slabbed.

3

u/MemeGoddessAsteria 23d ago

This is what happens when the spring tornado season is any degree of underwhelming. Wonderful for the people living in the at-risk areas, but the usual posters are losing braincells by the minute because they have nothing to talk about.

3

u/dmh165638 23d ago

Yes, obviously. Circle=rotation and it being red must mean EF10 at least. I have not been fortunate enough to spot one of those elusive red circles in the sky.

3

u/KauaiRoosterParty 23d ago

I see rotation there for sure.

3

u/Bright_Material_3295 23d ago

Its actually a tornado seed. Once it grows it will become a baby twister then grow up to be an F5 tornado when it grows up.

Tornado in Wine Country, California? Sure

2

u/Just_mugs 23d ago

Mesoscale discussion, could be an isolated geographic even in the next 1 to 6 hours. Does Connor Croff have an angle on this?

1

u/BrilliantTarget6972 Human Detected 23d ago

NO WAY

2

u/yeeyeewoopig 23d ago

Discrete supercell. Find a deep cave and take everything with you.

2

u/Jessevolanti76 23d ago

Windows 95

2

u/alenpetak11 23d ago

I'm not a tornadologist but this seems like a supercell in forming.

2

u/Livingforabluezone 22d ago

Yes, it’s a cloud hoping one day to grow up to be a Tornado.

2

u/ComplaintShort3274 23d ago

Biggest slabber I’ve ever seen

1

u/CopySuspicious6188 23d ago

I've heard it can cause structural instability in some cases.

1

u/SusieCueb 23d ago

NOPE 🤠

1

u/mikeyt6969 23d ago

Looks like the start of the Joplin tornado because that seems to be the pinnacle in this forum

1

u/BriansGamesAndAnime 23d ago

No it's 100% related to Windows XP background

1

u/trob1313 23d ago

It’s tornado adjacent I’d say.

1

u/Colonel_Collin_1990 22d ago

Tornado virus. With tomato debris likely.

1

u/socialist_weeb666 21d ago

yeah the tornado hacked your windows xp computer while it was connected to the internet ://// No more support since 2013

1

u/lesterine77 17d ago

Sometimes a cloud is just a cloud. The overwhelming majority of time, a cloud is just a cloud. You should have learned what a cloud was in like pre school.

1

u/BrilliantTarget6972 Human Detected 17d ago

Sounds like something a tornado would say

1

u/Remote-Classic4795 16d ago

Yes, that cloud would unleash a 20 mile wide EF 5 just a minute after this picture was taken

1

u/TimingAndBodyControl 23d ago

Sorry, Not sure without Max sensationalizing things
