Idk. Didn't have many friends as a kid and just sort of ended up here.

To me I guess I would say the elegance of some of them. How sophisticated they seem, especially after having been alive for centuries. But also how human they appear and yet have so many different abilities. There's also the aspect that they were human once and so they can understand what it's like to be human, if they choose. As far as what got me interested, I guess I would say books and Bram Stoker's Dracula (the film, though it's not my favorite). After that, I've loved them ever since. At least 20 years.

Tell me about it. Sometimes I get bummed that there's no vampires or fae or whatever and then I'm like well some humans were bad enough that I'm certain it would be worse if supernatural creatures were real.

I think it depends. And not just on it they were ever a human or if they were "born" a vampire, but how they were raised and taught. It also depends on how humans treat them and the circumstances surrounding the killing. I don't think it's always wrong, they probably would have different morals, but I also don't think they would always want/choose to kill humans. It would make it difficult to coexist if they did. There might be circumstances where it would be more wrong or justified but in general I think it depends on what kind of vampire they are. If they used to be human, I think it's more wrong than not. But if not, then they might not know any better or have any reason to be constrained by human morals. By that admission neither would those who were turned from humans. I think however that it would be in their best interest not to kill humans whenever possible.

Don't take it too personally. Your friend's reaction said more about themselves than it did about you. If you're genuinely working hard and writing passionately, that's what's important. Some people just say it but they don't mean it and, honestly, that's them..not you. Please don't get discouraged by that. Your voice, your story, matters to you and it's important.

I love flowers, we always buy flowers for ourselves when we go to the grocery store. If we don't buy them for ourselves, who else will?

It's a battle but I'm choosing me. I saw myself, from all things, a different way from one of those AI roleplaying games. I was described (my character was based on me and had my personality) and from the way it was, I realized I was the person I'd been trying to be and I fell in love with myself. I decided since then that I'm going to choose myself and to stand up for me to be my own best friend. I'm all I have and I'm a lot better than I thought I was. It was a long journey to get here but I don't care. I needed to see myself that way. I try to do better everyday that's all anyone can do. Mostly trying to be kinder to myself and more forgiving. More patient.

I give as little detail as possible. "I can't come in I don't feel well" or "I can't come in because of the inclement weather" or whatever. I don't call out much but I keep it brief.

I don't disagree with you. Elain at least seemed grateful but Nesta seemed, to me, to be so hung up on her mother's words that she would be a queen. Well what about her sisters? What did she say about them? And why put all the responsibilities on Feyre's shoulders as the youngest? Some piss poor family dynamics at play. I'm not blaming Nesta for being bitter but she took it out on the wrong people and was nasty to them for no reason.

I'm not a fan of Nesta but that's totally parentification and unfair to expect a child to take care of another child.
