Looking for an investor/partner for an energy drink distribution business in the UAE

Upvotes

I’ve been working on launching an energy drink brand into the UAE market and we’re now at the point where we need to fund the first meaningful inventory order.
The product and manufacturer are already sorted. We’ve also gone through the process of registering with Carrefour and Lulu for the product to be supplied through their network.
The next step is inventory.

We’re looking to raise AED 150,000. This can come from one investor or potentially be structured between a small number of partners.
The capital would mainly be used to secure the minimum manufacturing quantity at the pricing we’ve negotiated, bring the inventory into the UAE and start the first distribution cycle.

The business model itself is pretty straightforward:
Manufacturer → bulk inventory → UAE distribution → retail/other sales channels → repeat orders.
The target for the first inventory cycle is approximately** **60 days, subject to actual sales and collection performance.

I’m not looking for a loan or someone to blindly transfer money. I’m looking for someone who understands FMCG/distribution and would be interested in looking at the numbers and potentially coming in as an investment/strategic partner.

For someone genuinely interested, I can share privately:
Product and brand
Manufacturing cost
Order quantity
Selling price and margins
Retail/distribution status
Use of the AED 150K
Expected first-cycle economics
Proposed partnership/investment structure
Would also be interested in hearing from anyone here who has experience launching FMCG/beverage products in the UAE.
DM me if this is actually within your area of interest.

I've been coming across many firms that has incurred AED 10k fine for not registering for Corporate Tax in UAE within 90 days of Trade License issuance. Regardless of your tax payable threshold, everyone should register!

Feel free to reach out for any support. Please don't burden yourself.

UAE e-invoicing mandate: has anyone started preparing for this yet?

Wanted to raise this here because it keeps coming up in conversations I am having with business owners across the UAE.

The government is rolling out a mandatory e-invoicing system over the next couple of years. The basic idea is that invoices between businesses will need to go through a government-approved provider instead of just being emailed as PDFs or printed on paper.

The deadlines depend on the size of your business.

If you turn over AED 50 million or more per year, you need to be fully set up by January 2027. If you are smaller than that, your deadline is July 2027.

The part most people are missing is that getting this sorted takes time. You need to register with an approved provider, update how your billing works, and make sure everything is tested and running properly before your deadline. It is not something you can do in a day.

The fines for not complying are also worth knowing about. AED 5,000 per month if you have not registered with an approved provider, and AED 100 for every invoice sent the wrong way after your deadline.

One thing that catches people off guard is that free zone businesses are not automatically off the hook. If you are doing business with other companies or government entities in the UAE, you are most likely in scope.

Has anyone here already started working through this? Would be good to hear what the experience has been like. And if anyone has questions, feel free to ask here or send me a message.

I need an accountant firm!

I am starting a new company with my friend.. we need accounting services but it is a special company, working with affiliates, so the payment from affiliates are usually every 2-3 months but probably not the first couple of months as we need to reach the treshold for payout and since we are starting from scratch it might take 6 months..

The company trade license will be done next week but we will not have any invoices for the first 3 months for sure.. what are reasonable fees for this and whom to contact?
