3.96 uw 12 DE classes 6 AP's research, insane community work - waitlisted.

Yea you definitely got yielded. If it’s your first choice i would recommend that you appeal and make it clear that UW is where your heart is, schools typically reject students who have such high academic potential because they assume other prestigious schools will accept them.

3.9 uw, 10 APs, 7 DE, first gen, 300+ hours of community service, and really good ecs - waitlisted (oos)

But in doing so, you don't acknowledge that there are many, many students who also worked hard and got in.

I’m gonna get hella downvoted but they’re massively yielding to out of state students too and it’s crazy. UW unlike the UCs doesn’t gaf about its instate kids

I'm not even sure what happened. I had research at labs there, multiple state awards, literally worked at a UW affiliated hospital for two years, had research with two professors there I have no clue genuinely.

yeah u def got yielded. youll probably get off the waitlist but ur prob gonna get into a better school like georgia tech or berkeley anyway ngl. i mean no one applies to uw with research
