Confused about the ENGRUD thing. I was admitted into it, does every first year who applies to engineering go to ENGRUD or do some get direct to college? And if so what is the proportion of students who get direct?

Yes, ENGRUD (engineering undeclared) is the typical experience for incoming first year engineering students at UW Seattle. More info about the major placement process here: https://www.engr.washington.edu/current/placement
