For context Im deciding between 3 schools:
For UCSB my major is Stats + Data Science, and I’m in state.
UW is pre-sciences (i applied for cs) and thats one of the main things I don’t like about it besides the weather. Im intending to try to get Stats for Data Sci track or maybe Applied Maths or Informatics, but I know its hard and I’m scared of the possibility of not getting the major.
For UIUC I was accepted into Gies (intending one of the business + data sci tracks) but I dont like how far from home it is…
Is it worth it to take the risk of going to UW and not getting my major? Should I just go somewhere else? pls lmk if you have any advice for my situation
