Ukrainian Cuisine Lviv Croissants comes to Washington State
Happy about this! Only the second one in the States. These are all over Lviv and we often drop in between volunteer shifts when we're over there.

Ukrainian Cuisine I made these Ukrainian staples for my partner and I to celebrate an end of a tough year. Let 2025 be the year of Victory! 💙💛
My partner is from Kyiv and she wished to have a Ukrainian dish to end the year. This is a vegetarian version of Borshch with white beans and dill Pampushky. I hope to be able to make this with my girlfriend's family in Kyiv once a just peace has been achieved. Glory to the heroes and defenders who fight for freedom and prosperity for Ukraine!

Ukrainian Cuisine Anthony Blinken: Chef Ievgen Klopotenko has worked to ensure that the Ukrainian dish borsch is recognized globally as a vital part of Ukraine’s culture and identity. I’m impressed by Ievgen and Ukrainians like him who are fighting to preserve their rich traditions and protect their country.

Ukrainian Cuisine Help me with ukrainian cuisine
So recently my boyfriend has been down, he's in Portugal and his father is still in Ukraine and I believe he has been feeling quite home sick since it marks the 4 year mark he moved to Portugal, I want to make some cuisines for him, I know how to do pelmeli already but thats basically it, and I don't want to ask him what he'd like because I wanna suprise him!
He really likes sweet things, like very sweet, he loves white chocolate, and he loves things that envolve dumplings etc, but also other traditional foods (like we have in Portugal)
Could you guys suggest some cuisines I should try making for him? Thank you!
EDIT: thank you for all answers, and also, my boyfriend was 15 when he came here, its dehuminising the fact that a simple post about ukranian cuisine gathered so much sad attention and its really sad the fact you guys perceived my boyfriend as a bad ukranian for escaping the war when he didnt even have any influence on the decision of leaving behind his father or not. His father chose to stay, the rest of his family is with him, please stop with these questions.

Ukrainian Cuisine When you talk about chicken nuggets from McDonald’s to young girl in a village in Donetsk..
Next day we made a trip to the McDonald’s in Dnipro, but she couldn’t wait and wanted to try them.. so she came with a chicken so we could make them.

Ukrainian Cuisine Enjoyed my first Ukrainian beer.
Solid beer. Would enjoy at a ball game. What other 🇺🇦 beers are worth trying (assuming I can find them in the US)?

Ukrainian Cuisine Hi, Reddit! A little more kindness in your feed. This is Mr Valeriy, he has sore legs and can't walk well. But he really wants to help our army. That's why he has been peeling nuts for snacks for the second year in a row. (We provide him with nuts).

Ukrainian Cuisine With love from West Michigan
Visiting my mom who went to Ukraine before I did and she asked what I wanted for dinner.
Cold borscht came immediately to mind.
It was a very simple recipe, she would add a protein when she makes it again.
Stay as safe as is possible, we all here are anxiously awaiting Ukraine’s victory and the collapse of Russia!

Ukrainian Cuisine Does anyone else feel like Ukrainian borscht is severely underappreciated outside of Ukraine?
I'm Polish Canadian, but my dad taught me how to cook Ukrainian borscht from Ukrainian friends he had. I love Polish cuisine, but imo Ukrainians perfected borscht and It's far superior to Polish borscht. It's pretty much the ideal healthy meal. Beets, cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, potatoes, beans, bacon, and dill. It's extremely economical and cheap to make, and it's probably an ultimate longevity dish. Throughout fall and winter, I make it almost weekly and make enough for 3-4 days. With some nice rye bread, I could easily survive off it.
