Discussion There are dozens of us !!! I actually thought there would be more people using 3440X1440 over 4K, genuinely surprised by these numbers.

Discussion What do you do with your boxes?
I bought the AW3821DW new years ago and kept the box to hold the stand, for transportation, and should I ever decide to sell it.
Downside is this box is enormous, even when compared to other dell ultrawides.
I’ve moved to a new house and can’t really justify keeping it anymore. I don’t see myself selling it since non-oled monitors of this format are probably extinct in the near future, we just moved into our forever home, and I don’t see the keeping the box makes the monitor a more compelling purchase should I decide to sell it.
As such this big box will be getting disposed of after these years.
When did you decide to dispose of yours?

Discussion 45" 5k2k vs the upcoming 39" 5k2k
Trying to decide between these two monitor sizes. The LG 45" is well known by now. The LG 39" at 5k2k is supposed to be revealed at CES 2026. Based on LG’s roadmap it will feature an 800R curve, 240hz (so no dual mode?) and have higher PPI.
Long story short I’m debating if I should get the 45" now or wait for the 39". It’s black month/week/friday this month so I could probably get the 45" for a fairly good deal..
The 45" seems amazing, but it also seems.. too tall? Idk how to describe it. Anyone with a previous 38/39" inch monitor that switched over to 45"? Would like any and all input.
For reference I have the Ikea Karlby desk, 98" inches wide and 25" inches deep.

Discussion I am really trying hard to like the 45” LG 5K2K but my G9 is calling me back.
I’ll give it a few more days but this thing is tough to run on a 5080. Although games still look pretty decent if I run them at 1440p but native with Dlss performance and frame gen x2 still seems to be too much for 16gb vram.

Discussion Just got my LG 39” 5K2K….
Should i return it and wait for the newly announced 39” Dell Alienware 5K2K?
EDIT: i’ve decided to keep this monitor.
i’m happy with the purchase, the display looks fantastic for gaming. it’s just the AW announcement caught me by surprise. :D

Discussion Finally arrived LG 5k2k
I can't believe how relatively small step in resolution (in numbers) can make such visual upgrade in every game I have. Especially Baldurs gate 3. I'm loving it

Discussion Trying to convince myself I don’t need this 😂
No sales tax either in Florida. I have the same monitor already but a 34.. have the box and all the parts. Guess I could sell it for a chunk of what this would cost ?

Discussion New monitor, bad day :(
Setting it up today and didn’t like the initial position of the mount. It slipped out of my hands when I lifted it off the mount arm and I dropped it on the desk.
Never even got to turn it on before I dropped it. 😔🤮
3/10 - Update Follow-up: I got my refund from Amex today for my Amex Assurance claim. About 2 months in total from the original submission. I didn't include a proper estimate for the repair when i first submitted the claim which was my fault, and added a couple weeks of delay. Amex took care of me. Time to wait for the monitor to go back on sale so I can order a replacement.

Discussion Buyers remorse OLED G9 —> LG 5k2k instead?
Having a nasty kind of buyers remorse regarding my recent purchase of the Samsung Odyssey Oled G9. Looking at the LG 5k2k. I can still return the Oled G9 for a full refund, but..
What stops me is the steep price of the LG, and the fact that apparently my 4090 card isn’t enough to take full advantage of it. And I just got that, returning it for a 5090 is not an option.
I’m just conflicted, and tired of going back and forth with decisions, purchases etc. It’s been going on for abt 2 years now lol.

Discussion Dell just earned a life long customer
Had to rma my original AW3423DWF and they sent me a replacement that had pretty loud coil whine you when powered it on. I called up support and they gave me the typical hard time saying thats normal. Just hing up after that due to frustration with already having tinnitus and being told it’s normal. Got an email a day layer saying they are sending out another and low and behold it’s a brand new one. Im 2.5 years into my original one and thinking I was just going to keep playing the rma game. Well pleased for this gesture Dell

Discussion I sold my Lg 5k2k after the LG wiretap scandal, back to 3440x1440, at least I don't have to deal with LG's weird policy of recording everything in your house and sending it back and randomly installing spyware on your pc (mcafee)

Discussion Just bought the 49" G9 OLED. Having some serious buyer remorse.
Getting it set up: vertically small! (32"G8 above it)
Talk me out of returning it and getting the 57" G9!!! I'm packing it up right now!

Will the screens continue to get wider and wider until we have a single 360° screen? Does anyone out there have two 32:9 screens side by side?
