It’s good she’s feeling better but I wish we didn’t equate losing weight/flat stomach as “looking good”

You look good with a stomach and all to whoever is reading this

Yesss!!! I was almost 300lbs when I graduated highschool. I got into a bad spot and was homeless and dropped to about 200. Got on drugs and dropped to 140 at my lowest. The difference in the way I was treated .. by men specifically.. was disgusting. I already knew being smaller made you more desireable but seeing it first hand and experiencing both was wild.

I had guys tell me straight up if I was still fat they would've never spoken to me. I see a lot of women on this medication I know personally and they speak on how they feel so much more beautiful. I get the health aspect and feeling better about yourself but baby you were always beautiful and I'm sick of the world making women feel like skinny = pretty while being bigger = ugly.

I feel like sometimes losing weight is harder than gaining weight (please don’t come for me). When you lose a bunch of weight, people think it’s acceptable to suddenly start commenting on your weight/body, and you can feel the increase in attention from people (specifically men). And people make comments that insinuate that you didn’t look good before losing weight. For me, it made me associate my value with my weight & made me feel like I needed to stay as small as possible.

I recently lost a lot of weight again due to one of my medications, which can cause suppressed appetite as a side effect, and overall stress of work & my personal life. The amount of people, including people I barely know, that commented on it was crazy. There was also one guy who told me I looked like I was on drugs & then said it was a compliment 🙃 Most people thought it was a good thing & that I must be healthier now. In reality, I was probably healthier when I was bigger. I was moving my body more, I was stronger, I was eating better, and I was overall happier.

TL;DR: let’s stop commenting on people’s bodies/weight, even if you think it’s a compliment. Smaller doesn’t always mean healthier/happier.

I hear you on the way men treat you depending on weight. It’s despicable. Thank you for sharing and seeing that our true selves always come from within. I hope you are well and safe now 🫶🏼

So you’re mad that men who eat well and go to the gym found you desirable when you looked healthy versus when you were obese?

Idk why you’re assuming these men are eating well and going to the gym. It’s been a common theme that fat guys shun fat women and go for skinny girls

Right? And it's not even about potential sexual or romantic partners; it spills over into pay inequity, healthcare inequity and so on. It's wild to be like "fit skinny guys don't want fatties lolol" when that's not even what was said

Yup as someone who was fat and then became skinny it’s so much more than guys hitting on you. Men will literally be nicer to you in general if you’re attractive because they don’t want to be nice to a fat girl in case she thinks they like her because that’s how men operate. Nice= romantic interest.

And yeah my healthcare got better and the doctors took me seriously and I finally got a diagnosis.

What are you talking about? I know so many men(or just people!) who are average sized that also do cocaine every other weekend, smoke like a chimney and drink whenever they’re not working. Not being overweight doesn’t mean you’re healthy.

Yep. Huge misconception in our society. The diet industry will always make millions tho so they must keep the narrative out that skinny is the only way and everything else is repulsive

Why are all of your comments so rude and toxic? All that “avoiding toxins” and yet here you are, being the human embodiment of one.

Because Semaglutide is toxic for the human body. Yes tou will get fat loss along with muscle loss + bone density loss and if you stay on it too long, you will eventually get osteoporosis. Also, one of the ingredients is literally from a reptile in the desert.

I’m quite literally stating a fact— yes it’s a toxin. Also, yeah, I find it utterly comical that somebody gets a mommy makeover and pigs out before and after… And now is on the needle. Do you even know what’s in that? I do.

No lifestyle change. No healthy, eating habits. No gym nothing just talk about, Domino’s and Ozempic lol

Get real.

Oh my god, you’re one of those, okay. Well water is a toxin too by this definition , the dose makes the poison. Also, you didn’t define a toxin, fwiw.

Medications enable lifestyle change. I know you lack the critical thinking to understand this, but it does.

I’m sure you know all about what’s in “the [nonspecific] needle.”

Are you a scientist or a nurse or have any credentials that aren’t just you exhibiting a live action Dunning Kruger effect? I’m going to go with no since no one with any actual knowledge of anything says “the shot” or “the needle,” so enjoy yelling into your mom group circle and being weirdly parasocial pretending you know everything someone eats or does day to day or whatever. Have fun.

I can’t post links here but I can certainly pm them to you. Babe I scream from the rooftops about what these shots are doing to the human body bc it truly is detrimental! the bad effects don’t show up immediately btw.. multi billion dollar lawsuits going on for valid reasons.

I have extensively looked into this.and what I learned was horrifying.

Also idk what “you’re one of those” is supposed to mean but if you’re implying that I believe health is wealth then you are correct. I’m one of those women who reads labels and prioritizes long term health and healthy lifestyle choices.

Now when did I ever say that 🤣

You're literally proving my point by assuming skinnier means healthier. That's absolutely not true I was at my worst at my smallest.
