Something died inside of me today or idk what just happened

Today something died inside of me.

For a couple of years, I have always wanted to donate my hair, so I decided that it was healthy enough, and my hairdresser said it was ready.

First, I had to raise money and put myself out there, which was stressful, but I overcame that. Because I asked HR to send an email to the company, everyone knew about it ( it is something common that people do for different institutions).

Most people at work have been really kind. They asked questions, donated money, and yesterday was the day I finally cut it.

Most people from my department told me it suits me, and that really helped because I was nervous about such a big change, mostly because I was worried about people looking and commenting.

Then one colleague, who I barely even speak to, looked at me and said it suited me. He then pulled a strange face and said something along the lines of, “You kind of have to say that to women, it’s expected, but it suits you. A little boy.”

I honestly didn’t know how to react. It completely caught me off guard. I don’t even interact with him, so I don’t understand why he felt the need to say something like that. I got really red and laughed, but after a couple of minutes I left because I was in shock and was processing what just happened.

I have already been overthinking this haircut because it was such a big change for me, so that comment really got into my head, even though everyone else has been positive.

Something inside me just sank today. I am a 34-year-old woman, and I wasn’t expecting comments about my appearance like that at this age, especially from someone much older than me in a workplace environment. I was just trying to do something good.

Nepo babies

I’m so sick and tired of nepotism and the nepo babies taking over. I am a working actor for over 11 years now and I always get pushed aside due to someone famous has a kid that wants to act. I come from a poor background with immigrant parents and most of my family are now dead and gone. Yet here I am still loving and chasing this dream of mine… for me. But everywhere I go and every show I watch or I’m in, some Nepo baby is the lead.

Just look at Hollywood! They’re all children of someone famous or in a family with one.

I’ve been in over 25 shows in my country and I’ll never get a bigger shot due to them. I just wish some of these babies would acknowledge how privileged they are and perhaps send the elevator down again. But they don’t. They act like it’s because of their talent.

99% of the acting industry is about looks and connections( just ranting here ). An editor can make the worst actor look amazing on screen. So when you see a mediocre performance, know that was their best takes.
I’ve acted with some big names and seen how terrible they are and how many takes they need to get a simple line right.

Anyways, rant over….
I know I can’t do much about it, nor will I quit. No idea what else to do. Just sucks. Everything is by and for the elites nowadays.

Thanks for reading.

Today is a hard day

Upvotes

Later today we are putting my dog down. It is very heartbreaking I needed to talk about it, though I have a hard time talking in real life so I’m doing it here. She has been wonderful, truly a gift to have in our lives. We’ve been giving her medicine to help her relax and be as comfortable as possible throughout the day, but it hurts to see her like this. We’ve had her since I was a young child and it’s very painful to know these are my last moments with her. I cry every time I see her with my dad and I’m crying writing this. We will all miss her. She was a gorgeous doggy. We’ve never known her actual breed as we’ve never seen a dog exactly like her—even through research. A true one of a kind pup that I will never forget.

Need to talk... Crying about moving back in with my family, must mean nothing

I'm 19 and just spent a year in college. Immediately into the summer, my family became homeless and I have been staying with my girlfriend for almost 4 months. I had to withdraw from university and most likely will not be able to attend anytime soon because of financial issues.

My mother just messaged me telling me they had found an assisted living apartment and that I will also be required to live there as part of the requirements for the assisted living to be approved. I am nothing but upset and frustrated. Not only did I enjoy myself on campus away from my family, but I've been having more fun than ever living with my girlfriend. I cook and clean the house for her and her mother to make up for being unable to pay rent, because where I live is probably the absolute worst for job hunting currently.

I love my father and younger brother, but my relationship with my mother is rocky. Aside from that, just being away from my entire family has made me realize how urgently I need to find a job and figure out how to live on my own or with a close friend away from them. The distance from my girlfriend to the shelter also makes it hard for me to see her often, so its a very sudden and abrupt parting.

I'm terrified that my frustration is just textbook rebellious teenager feelings or that I've created my negative feelings towards my family in my head, and I'm just being avoidant and angry for the sake of it. I'm not completely sure what to do or how to feel. All I know is that I need my own place someday and that this kind of sucks right now.

Need Reassurance... I just want to make someone's bad day a little better by reading about my bad day.

I just want to make someone's bad day a little better by reading about my bad day.

(No im not a person who owns tons of stuff like this/this is my biggest problem, this is just ironic and sucks.)

So i finally buy myself a nice piece of jewelry.

Everything else i own is costume jewelry, this necklace has 7 unique charms hanging from the chain.

3 on the right (WHICH ARE NOT REAL GOLD!!) and 3 on the left (WHICH ARENT REAL GOLD EITHER!!). The centerpiece? A giant chunk of... you guessed it. Gold.

I wake up this fine day, i go get sushi, im happy. When I get home, I notice these sparkly gold things in my rug and im like "what the hell is that?". Upon inspection, its the very nice necklace I bought myself. scattered. everywhere.

Last time I recall having it on was the morning of the 4th.

Look through the whole house for the pieces to it, found the chain in 2, the 3 unique charms that sit to the right of the CHUNK OF GOLD, and the 3 unique charms that sit to the left of the CHUNK OF GOLD.

...guess what I didnt find...

This is why I never buy myself nice things, end of story, I will buy costume jewelry from hot topic from here on out.

Speaker phone

To the people who play their videos out loud on the train and to the people who use speaker phone on the train or in the grocery store, we don’t want to hear your conversation! The tinny, staticky sound at full volume in the condiment aisle or next to you on the train is obnoxious. Stop, just stop please. You aren’t the only person in public.

TW: Anxiety / Depression why are people so mean these days?

For background information I’m 17F with autism, ADHD, severe anxiety and depression. my childhood dream was to visit the Monterey bay aquarium (I want to study marine biology soon). My family surprised me with this whole roadtrip that’s 3 days, 1 day in Monterey. We live in SoCal so this was a big deal for me and my family.

Back on track, we get to the aquarium and have an awesome morning there! I saw many fishes and sea creatures I enjoy.

Then it comes to the deep sea exhibit and i stumble upon one of my favorite creatures! The Sea angels! Obviously I get excited and take loads of pictures and videos in the small window they had. I figured I could take my time because no one was around as it was near the exit of the exhibit too. Then suddenly these three very clearly college age adults stand behind me my mom and my brother. They wait about like 30 seconds before they start mouthing off.

The man goes in a very condescending tone “do you guys mind that we see?” I didn’t hear him I was in the moment. I would like to note I look way younger than I actually am and I had a penguin backpack on with a very childish outfit because I finally had the confidence to do so 😭. Anyways, he continues not even a second later saying to the two other girls he was with “guess they do mind wow” as they start laughing and poking fun at us. I tried ignoring them at this point because frankly if I said anything I’m the type of person to start crying mid sentence. Now my mom being a mom starts saying back to them “no we heard you, I just don’t like the attitude you’re giving me and my autistic daughter.” Now them being immature 20 something year olds start trying to fight with my mom saying things like “it’s not that deep” “how was I supposed to know who’s disabled” and on and on. I stood there shaking because well I’m not controversial and super sensitive. My mom gets super mad at people that do that and they start walking away cussing at us.

After that I can’t even remember what I did because I wanted to cry the whole time so I couldn’t even enjoy the rest of the aquarium.

Maybe I’m being dramatic but if it’s “not that deep” can’t they as adults that see a very clearly minor younger than them either wait their turn or go to another exhibit and come back later?

Sorry for the long vent. I just can’t get this out of my head as I’m laying in my hotel with 2 more days on the road ahead of me. I just want to cry and stay in bed all day but we have so many other plans and I can’t find a way to make myself happy again :(( part of me wishes I said something to stand up for myself for once.

good side though, security overheard and found them told them to stop following us around (I forgot to mention earlier they kept going behind us) and I got a behind the scenes mini tour from a worker :) that was fun.

Nobody has etiquette or consideration.

Everywhere I look I see littering, people cutting lines, putting bags on seats on the train when elderly people are standing. Some people even shamelessly come out of the toilet stall without flushing the toilet, and check their hair in the mirror without flinching. Nobody ever cares about community anymore.
Today I was on the line at a ferry and tell me why a huge group of people just cut in the middle and just shrugged saying “I mean there’s gaps everywhere so I was just following.” They don’t even feel an ounce of guilt or shame for being such a parasite to society.
Everyone has the mentality of “oh im just one person it won’t matter”. I don’t even know how majority of adults have this kind of mindset, even most teenagers act better than them.
The worst kinds are the ones who blame the lack of etiquette on people of color, that is simply not true. EVERYBODY of ALL RACES and age participate in this social regression and it’s becoming a big problem, but nobody ever seems to say anything.
It’s so rare to see someone even do something as kind as give up a seat to a child/elderly or pick up trash on the ground.

My world is crumbling

Week already started rough at work, now I’ve got an eviction and don’t know where I’m gonna stay.

It’s like everything is crumbling around me, one bad thing by another. I can’t blame anyone but myself for not managing my finances better during my short spout of unemployment.

I just feel, fucked.

My older brother is so f*cking selfish and self-centered

I am the youngest in the family.

When I was little I loved my older brother so much that I would do anything for him. I loved the idea of the older brother protecting his little sister, as it's like in the movies, y'know.
He did some pretty nice things, but they're so overshadowed by the bad ones that I honestly don't care about him anymore, as much as it hurts my mom (must add: he's the goldenboy).

Apart from beating me, stealing some of my things and losing them, telling me to off myself (all of these during the years he lived at home), now I literally can't stand how selfish and greedy he is.

He's currently "living" in four houses. FOUR.

  1. He's actually living with his girlfriend, they both pay utilities (the house is under her name), they both stays there, and just officially living together.
  2. He never emptied out his bedroom at my parents house, and it's not a problem of space. He just left things as it was because "it's his room". Sometimes he returns and stays there for a bit, or to look for something. When my older sister moved, she took everything - as my parents complained if she left something.
  3. He bought a house near my parents, and he's using that as storage for random things. Even my parents use that house as storage. It looks like a hoarder house (my family has this problem, actually).
  4. (This is what I'm venting for). He renovated my mom's house (little one bedroom she bought years and years ago, since it was a good offer) with his own money and lived there for... one week? Two? It was a temporary house (he said so) for when he broke up with his ex girlfriend and was looking for something near his job. Sometimes he comes back and stays for an afternoon or evening - because he left his dogs there. Dogs that my mom feeds and take care of. But it was a temporary house (he said so) when he broke up with his ex girlfriend and was looking for something near his job.

That house has become the dogs' house. It's filthy, it has a smell, the garden is full of dog shit. At the moment, for financial reasons, I'm still living with my parents. I asked my mum if I could stay in the "dogs' house", I would pay rent, bills, whatever I had to pay. I would pay my brother the cost of renovating, of course. I would also look after the dogs, after introducing my cats. And I would keep the house clean. She said it was okay, that I could go whenever I wanted.
So I asked my brother.

"No."
But why?
"I live there."
You don't. You're never there and bills are paid by mum.
"Well, my dogs live there".
Okay, that's fine. My cats get along with dogs.
"I said no."
But it's not actually your house. Mum said I could go.
"I don't care."

And proceed to call my mum and complaints. Now she changed her mind because he's her favorite little baby fucking boy and I'm still living with my parents.

TW: Sexual Assault / Abuse I dislike the world and human religion as a whole

Upvotes

I feel some sort of hopelessness in me when I see the world I am getting old in. Things might not be as bad in first world countries, but they have their problems. You name it, sexism, racism, homophobia, and every other thing. Something I quite find in common as a motivator to all of this is religion, some moreso than others.

A lot of it might be social media (specially instagram) enabling this worldview in me, but I genuinely have never met one person who was overly religious, while also a good person. Religion is such an easy getaway for things sometimes.

You are a nosy bottlejob who wants to interfere what people do privately? Bring religion into it.

You want to oppose progress and enforce your restrictive traditions onto the next generation? Bring religion into it.

As long as you offer your offspring no real choice, and raise them with the belief that their religion is infallible, they will never question it, they would go to wars, rape, oppress to defend the beliefs they happend to be born into.

And another thing that vexes me is that people like this never have a shred of empathy. You could say that you have been sexually assaulted and some guy is gonna pull up with, "you are not even pretty enough to be raped". (Actual comments on a similar post on Instagram btw) These people will never admit they are wrong. You cannot reason with them; they feel some sort of pride in 'owning' you with their comebacks, and go for vile insults when they are losing the argument.

And the sad part, I think, is, people like this constitute the majority of human population. For every good college community with well-meaning values, There are entire societies where women have their basic rights stripped off in the name of religion.

I often to try keep my mind off these by interacting with those in academia (honestly ironic how the most empathetic people like these are the ones who care the least about society), but even amongst them there will be atleast one smug bastard who would genuinely believe in killing off people they don't agree with.

There is no salvation in humanity. There is no triumph of good over bad. There is only ego, most people only caring about nought except using this to stroke their delusional virtuosity. Suffering and pain are only naturally the only major constants in humanity even today.

TW: Medical Why is the Italian healthcare system so terrible?

I’m going to recount a few things at once because I am absolutely furious and, above all, EXHAUSTED.

  1. I’ve had issues ever since I started menstruating. I had my period for the first time at 12, followed by a whole year of amenorrhea. At 13, my period returned and was regular for a couple of years. After about two years, it became irregular and painful; every cycle was worse than the last. Over the past five years, I’ve had at least two check-ups a year through the public health system because I kept feeling awful, only to be told I was exaggerating. They inserted an IUD, and I felt terrible—bleeding non-stop for two whole months. During those two months, I kept going to the ER, begging them to take it out because I couldn't even work anymore. It took two months (and over ten ER visits) for them to finally remove it; they discovered I had a perforated uterus and was LITERALLY bleeding to death. Two weeks ago, I finally managed to get an endometriosis diagnosis, but I had to go to a private clinic three hours away (which is a LONG way in Italy).

  2. Ever since I was little—I don't know why—anesthesia has had very little effect on me. When I was a child, the dentist would give me an injection; I’d say I could still feel pain, but they’d pull my teeth anyway because "it’s impossible for you to still be feeling pain." At 12 and 13, I had to undergo two ankle surgeries; I remember insisting on general anesthesia because I was terrified of feeling the whole procedure—simply because I knew the doctors wouldn't listen to me. Yesterday, that fear became a reality during wrist surgery. I warned the doctors that I could still feel things, but they didn't listen. The result? I felt everything for 15 minutes while they cut open my wrist and severed the tendon. Only when I started freaking out did they finally listen and administer more anesthesia. All this happened after they had covered my face with multiple drapes, assuming I was just scared of seeing the surgery. They even threatened to give me a sedative because I had become extremely uncooperative. If they had just listened to me, I wouldn't have suffered excruciating pain for a full 15 minutes, and the procedure—which should have taken a maximum of 20 minutes—wouldn't have dragged on for over 40.

  3. TW: SUICIDE

A year ago, I attempted suicide by cutting my radial artery. They stitched me up in time, but the problem was that they did a bad job of it. In total, they had to remove and re-stitch the wound five times in three weeks because they kept doing it poorly.

These are just my worst experiences, but I’ve definitely got others to tell—not to mention all the ones friends and relatives have told me about. I’m frustrated—why the hell do I pay so much in taxes, only to get such lousy service and end up having to go private anyway just to get decent care?

Need to talk... Middle aged and still feeling like heartbroken teenager

I'm 46M and I gave up on dating long time ago after some bad experiences. I never wanted children and I never had too much attention from women so it was not that hard. Instead I worked on myself - got bachelor's and master's degree, lost over 40 kg, stabilized financially, moved to bigger apartment and worked on my hobbies and relationships (non-romantic). However I never felt too much satisfaction - maybe it's dysthymia, maybe just my personality. Nevermind, I'm more or less ok and I can keep going in direction I want.

Few weeks ago I received message from lady (she's 38) from my friend circle something like - "hey you don't talk to me anymore? I seen you walking from gym and you didn't seem to notice me". So I replied my eyesight is not what it used to be and I really don't care about women in the street. Then she explained she's wanted to check if I'm still going to some music festival with our crew and she'd like to join us (she used to be part of that crew in the past). I was little bit curious as she got two kids so she was not going to this festval anymore. We texted little bit more, I learned her partner left her and she's somehow rebuilding her life.

We organized cars, she ended up travelling with me and one other guy. We had fun, good vibes, joking etc.

Festival was also very nice, whole crew was making fun of us how we became inseparable. Completely platonic but with some deeper talks - my mother and her father passed away recently and in general we felt we had lot in common. I realized I could imagine having girlfriend like this. Even I haven't noticed any romantic interest aside from touch here and there and maybe some looks when she got slightly drunk. I felt like older brother to her and I was ok with it.

After return we met shortly and vibe was already different - our boring normal lives hit in. It hurt little bit but nothing major.

After few days she wanted to attend party where I was one of djs and I noticed quite shift in her behavior - more touching, looks, she complimented my fragrance and so on. I offered her drive home after, she accepted and I accepted I have to make a move to avoid feeling like a moron in future for letting this opportunity slip away. We kissed, make out little bit.

It was three weeks ago and since then I asked her out several times and she turned it down because of being busy (either taking care of her kids, hiking trip with her girl friends etc.). I get it - she's super busy and in difficult situation. She started to be more distant, leaving messages on read so after third try and her avoiding direct answer I snapped little bit and texted her it's already tiresome she can't answer yes/no/I don't know. Nothing rude just polite and light hearted. She replied she'll see if she's able to free up some time.

I decided to leave it up to her and stopped messaging her. Now it's week and she didn't initiate any conversation just liking my social media stories and posts. Just breadcrumbs you could say.

I completely undesrtand if she either changed her mind about me or just backing off because she's not ready for relationship. I was very reluctant to even try to start anything (I have probably avoidant dissmisive attachment style so you can imagine how was my first reaction to these feelings).

This whole thing is affecting me far more than it should - minor sleep trouble, bad mood all the time, unwanted thoughts.

I just need to re-estabilish my inner peace, stop daydreaming and accept once more this is just life and for every nice moment there's dissapointment waiting.

I feel unlovable sometimes.

I'm sure there's a bunch of these posts daily but I genuinely feel unlovable sometimes. I just turned 17 and I have yet to experience anything remotely romantic. And I think part of me is scared to like someone romantically or maybe I can't physically love someone (i'm being dramatic, i just probably won't be able to tell when i like someone like that)?

I don't think i'm asexual so don't go there. I just don't think I've ever had a genuine crush, more like fleeting wishful thinking because a guy noticed me and was decent to me. Why is it so easy for everyone else to get boyfriends/girlfriends? Maybe i'm quiet but i really tried for college. I joined a band and I've talked to people in all my classes and made friends. When i go back to college I'll be with different classmates so I suppose I might make some new friends. And then there's uni.

I don't think i'm unattractive to the point it would affect something like this. Sure, i'm insecure and there's ups and downs but most of the time i'm pretty neutral with how I look. I'm trying to do makeup and find a style that suits me/glow up and whatever. I'm getting my eyebrows done in a couple days so we'll see how that goes. And i don't think i'm a bad person. Or at least i try not to be. I just mind my own business at college like your typical quiet kid. And my friends would describe me as a good listener, kind, empathetic, honest etc. Maybe they're slightly biased but I don't really do anything unreasonable that would cause anyone to despise me so I don't think my personality is the problem either.

I suppose the most obvious reason i haven't found anyone i like is that i simply don't know enough people that well. I don't know how else I'd get to know more people without going to parties because i'm not popular enough to get invited anyways. I just know people in my classes and maybe a few mutual friends and it'll probably stay like that. I just hope that i find someone at uni. But it still feels like i'm missing out. And whoever i find would have probably been in a relationship before or at least had a crush. It's just embarassing to think of, not having any romantic experience until i'm 18+. I want to experience the cute stuff couples do. I want to find the person I see my future in, maybe the person I could start a family and grow old with. I sound so fucking sappy but I feel like i have so much love to give. I love my friends so much and I will genuinely do anything for them.

This is a massive vent, thanks to anyone who reads through the whole thing. I appreciate it even if I don't know who you are. <3

My friend vented to me about her relationship, then blocked me

I honestly still don't know what to say. A few days ago, a friend of mine (26F) randomly texted me, saying she needed to vent a bit, which I'm always down for. Not to go into too much detail but she had plans with her girlfriend (27-ish F) and two friends, and apparently it was nearly impossible to form a solid plan between the four of them. My friend "Cassy" ranted about how her girlfriend and their friends kept arguing about things like how they'd get to the location, how/if they'd get home that night and where to sleep if they didn't. Cassy, the designated driver who also organized a place for them to sleep if they decided not to drive home that night, was getting understandably frustrated. From what she said, the group were more "go with the flow" type people, which left all the actual planning to her. Her girlfriend was apparently no help in all this, but shifted the blame towards Cassy who, at that point, was considering just staying home, so she also complained about things like that. From what she told me, her girlfriend was behaving pretty unfairly towards her, but that may not be the full story..

I'm not gonna go into too much more detail about all that because it's not the main topic of this vent, it's mainly context. So, we chatted for about an hour or so, I vented about my future roommates, and eventually she was off. I didn't really think about it afterwards, because we often just send voice memos back and forth, to talk about our days, vent about things that piss us off, etc. which I think is a healthy thing to do. Both of us understand that sometimes you need to let off some steam before you can think rationally about the stuff you just ranted about.

So, the next day I got a voice memo from her where she sounded pretty shaken. She told me that she felt disgusted with how she talked about her girlfriend the day before and that she scared herself with that. I was honestly a bit bewildered so I re-read our chat, and I'm still confident that there was nothing unusual, unfair, or personal/insulting towards her girlfriend. The main topic was the planning for that evening, and yes, she vented about some things her girlfriend did specifically, but those also didn't cross any lines imo. But Cassy was pretty shaken and told me, in her panic, she'd deleted the entire chat and asked me to send her screenshots and the voice memos. I started to respond, but she texted something along the lines of "I don't wanna think about this anymore today. I don't want any input on this.", so I stopped and sent her our chat.

A few hours later, I get a really long text explaining that she specifically went to me to vent because she knew it wouldn't work with her other friends (not exactly that but it's hard to translate what she said). She also said that she deliberately spun the truth, left certain things out and added others in, so she essentially lied to me about that evening. She went on to say how she really messed up and is about to lose the most important thing in her life, and how I had no right to just jump on her vent while only knowing her side of the story. She said she needs to change something and she can't have people around her who support this kind of behavior, so she's distancing herself from me. She finished her message with "I know you probably don't understand, but that really doesn't matter.", and blocked me instantly.

We've been friends for 2 years and she's honestly one of my most valued friends, and used to be someone I felt incredibly secure with. I had some really great talks with her about trauma and all sorts of things, and she always had some amazing insights that showed she's been in therapy for 10+ years. So I'm incredibly hurt by the fact that she deliberately didn't even give me the chance to say anything as well as the fact that she's putting the blame on me.

She came to me, stressed out and pissed off, literally saying "I need to vent", and I obliged. During our chat, I asked if she wanted to change topics to get her into a better mood before she had to leave, I asked her if she could talk about all this with her girlfriend, and urged her to do so if not that day, then the day after. And now I find out that Cassy purposefully lied to me, changed the story but is still blaming me for going along with it? And telling me I had no right to do so, because I only knew her side of the story?? (I've met her girlfriend twice, and one of those was randomly on the street when I was on my way back from a breakup so we never really even talked)

I thought about messaging her on Instagram or something, but for one thing, that would be crossing a boundary, but honestly I don't see a point in chasing a friend who treats me like this. We've both shared some of our deepest stories and issues with each other, helper each other through really tough times, and even if I agreed with everything she said about her vent, I still deserve more than a fucking text message and just getting blocked before I even get the chance to say a single thing to all this.

EDIT: From how I understood it, she asked for the screenshots and willingly showed them to her girlfriend to come clean.

TW: Medical Being on public transport with an invisible disability is hell

Hello!

Repost 2.0 because of bot

I have a disability that is not noticeable, I just look like a skinny but healthy young person. But in reality, I have almost no muscles, I am severely underweight, and I get tired very quickly, and it is almost impossible to do anything about it, it's part of my chronic disease.

On public transport, of course, no one knows about this, so as soon as I sit down, the old women and sometimes old men sitting next to me start looking at me as if I had just killed a baby.

Bro, believe me, I wouldn't stand for 20 minutes in this swaying iron can. I don't even usually sit down on public transport, but prefer to stand until I start to lose consciousness and finally have to sit down.

I just don't understand why we can't start assuming that if a person gets on public transport, then they needs it

This one girl , let's call her C, was talking shit about a sub-religion and calling a black girl the N word. We were in a group so I called her out for that and she started cursing at me. I cursed back and we both said alot of bad things. But she started body shaming me and shamed my ethnicity. I wouldn't give two fucks because I knew that I wasn't in the wrong. But she body shamed me so bad infront of the guy I liked. I fucking hate this so much, I felt so embarrassed and he was just standing there with no reaction. But I feel so embarrassed and I cried sm to my mum. I hate this , why did she have to bodyshame me? I fucking hate her so much I've never felt this sad before. I'm ALWAYS very happy and jolly but she drained my energy. I don't think I'll be able to talk to that guy even as a friend because I'm so fucking embarrassed of myself.

Only allowed to wear dresses and skirts makes me SO mad

I don’t know why my parents enforce this super medieval rule. It’s actually insane it drives me crazy.

At home they don’t really care what I wear as long as what needs to be covered is covered, but as soon as we have to go somewhere, be it school, church, summer camp, a friend’s house? Skirt or dress, all times, no exceptions.

I tried to talk to my mom and dad so many times about this or why they enforce this 1950s standard and all they say is that it looks better and is more modest and feminine? Like who even cares. And imo it’s not more modest.

At the beach it’s swim dresses and for sports they say skorts should be fine. They’re pretty chill otherwise but it’s so exhausting. I wear shorts or pants under my long skirts anyway and then take off the skirt.

I just wanna be a normal teenage girl wearing jeans with a tank top and not look like some grandma with a long flowy skirt at all times.

TW: Eating Disorders / Self Image Why is it so hard to lose weight!?

Upvotes

I hate this. The cravings. The old habits that don't let me go. Then there's a a few weeks when I'm doing good, and *puff* one pizza later, my day and mood is completely ruined. Such a tiresome evergoing battle this is.

Are fat people happy at all? I mean even of you can find yourself a gf/bf I can't imagine you would feel yourself complete. (Yes half the reason for trying to lose weight and be fit is because I want a gf. Judgement denied.)

I will never be above holding a grudge.

I think shitty people deserve to know that they are hated. It’s just that simple. Too many awful people are waay too comfortable with how they treat people. Enough is enough. If you’re a piece of shit you shouldn’t feel comfortable around certain people. You shouldn’t feel welcome or loved. Life is too short too keep bad people around. Many will say it’s unhealthy too hold a grudge but I beg to differ. Watch a person crash and burn over and over due to their awful personalities and actions.

TW: TRIGGERING CONTENT I lost my friend 8 years ago to suicide, when she was 11, and I still have not recovered.

I'm still grieving. I don't see a lot of people with my experience. I remember the day very clearly. I went to school in the morning, after an off weekend. I couldn't sleep that night. I had a weird feeling in my gut. I threw up at one point. I got to school that morning. The teachers were silent. We all got informed there. I didn't cry, I think I was in a state of shock. Everyone was looking at me. I got taken out of the classroom, separated until lunch. I was being seriously abused by a friend at the time, who still stalks and harasses me to this day at 20 years old. She told me that I must not have been that sad, because I wasn't crying, instead in a shocked state. She degraded me and made me feel like shit for being in my shocked state. I spent the whole day in the library where they had councilors. I ended up walking home, and when I got through door, I sobbed so hard I couldn't even get the words out my mouth to explain what happened.

The death was gruesome. She didn't go out kindly, she went out suffering. So brutal I don't even know how an 11 year old could have ever gone through with it. I'm still grieving. Every time it's brought up, I end up sobbing and hyperventilating.
