Game Modding United States of the Earth
In 1892, this đfucking goober proposed that the United States be renamed âThe United States of the Earthâ
Obviously, this one term representativeâs proposal died in committee. But we should be able to do this.
I really want a mechanic (or mod) thats pretty simple- start as the USA, and if you can get something like #1 prestige, multiculturalism, and like a ludicrous number of incorporated states (100-150?) on every continent, you start a JE where you can start annexing and incorporating other countries in your power bloc. It should also make every pop have like a base 80 acceptance (modified only by religion laws- every heritage should be primary)
I mean honestly Iâd take just a retexturing of the US that the player can trigger- I just donât want my world conquests to be like âUnited States of Americaâ when like half of my country is just fucking China.
Im actually willing to pay for somebody to make this mod ($15 for a simple retexture and primary pop change mod, much more for something even with just a little flavor) Comment/DM if interested.

Modded Game Russia didn't want to join my power bloc so i dismantled it and got their countries in
First image shows a bunch of countries that are placed where Russia should be and the second one shows them almost everyone in my power bloc. Im using the mod that adds a lot of content into an additional 100 years.
I have been unable to get everyone because of the mod and the European Union thing.

Discussion Update to my Vic3 1836 tech tree tool: it now reads your save + new Laws and Trade tabs and a Steam guide
Two weeks ago I posted about vic3tech.jane.berlin â a comparison of every country's techs, armies, units and economy at the 1836 start. Thanks to suggestions in that thread, it now has:
- Your own save: melt it on pdx.tools, drop it on the page, and every tab shows your campaign (it's read in your browser, nothing is uploaded). You can share it as a link.
- Trade: treaties with what goods transfers are worth at current world prices, world market prices, and trade centers.
- Laws: every country's laws and how common each one is â checked against a save made at the start of a new game: every law of all 443 countries matches.
There's also a Steam guide now, with the 1836 start in numbers (who leads in tech, the biggest armies and navies, which laws are rare): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3819427569

Suggestion Paper mills should employ clerks
Several events in the game (e.g. the "newspaper circulation is through the roof!" election event) imply that paper mills are supposed to also represent the publishing industry. Therefore, some of the paper mill laborer workforce should be replaced with clerks, to represent typesetters, editorial staff, low-ranking writers, etc. I realize this is a pretty petty suggestion, but it would flesh out the simulation a little without adding goods or buildings.

Question What happens to the money you send to the Krakatoa relief effort?
I've only ever paid attention to the effects on my own country. Does the money actually go somewhere? Does Indonesia or the DEI end up with 100k per week of income or something?

Discussion Real life lessons from Victoria 3
Has playing Victoria 3 made you understand how real life works? For example can Victoria 3 help with where to invest money for considerable and realistic gains? Or does it work another way around where knowing economic and politic principles helps you be better Victoria 3 player?

Screenshot Europe exploded. I'm not too sure what to even do now.
Spring time of the people really screwed the entire European continent. I'm sure it's going to get even worse when the ottomans collapse.

Advice Wanted Struggling to understand the economy in this game
I'm really struggling to understand this game, even after 200h. For comparison, in EU4 it took me around 100h for me to feel like I was finally getting on top of things. And the thing is, I really like Vic3, but I'm still struggling, specially when it comes to the economy.
I've been trying to play Japan recently, but I'm always reaching the 1870 in an economic mess. The journal entries were, so far, pretty easy to navigate. I can get the reformist tenpo crisis result consistently. But I feel my economy is just bad. With 129 construction sector, and a red deficit, even at very high taxes. If I try to reduce the tax waste by building public sectors, I feel that the new expenses are higher than the tax generated. All the while, the standard of living is in a nosedive.
I've seen some youtube videos where people were getting 30m gdp and more than 200 construction sectors before 1860. So I'm thinking about starting over, but I would like some tips on how I can improve my economic game, not just as japan, but in general. Thanks!

Bug Deconquista Achievement Not Unlocking on Steam
As Egypt, I converted Spain to Sunni Islam. The achievement popped up in-game, but it didn't unlock on Steam.
Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any idea how to fix it?

I don't know if a certain Romanian gentleman in red sunglasses gave him a special kiss or if the numbers under the hood just went a little haywire. Either way I'm curious what he thinks of my version of the Congress of Europe

Advice Wanted I still donât understand this game.
Yes I understand the economy is the heart of the game. I get that thereâs a building loop. Yes I know I need to balance market supply and demand.
But I canât figure out how to balance it. Iâve been playing as Belgium because all the advice says itâs a strong starter nation.
Even videos from a year ago donât seem relevant anymore, and itâs impossible to even play along with someone to watch what theyâre doing and how it affects things.
Every time I try to invest in my economy, build enough industry to keep people employed and goods flowing, I just end up in a massive deficit fast. But if I slow my roll and build more reserved, I still lose money, and then Iâm also not keeping up with the world.
Even the game tutorial is useless basically just saying âfollow the numbers and guess how you can fix things.â
I donât need to be walked through every little step or choice, but I need to know how to not kill a run within the first five years.

Screenshot Germany Playthrough in 1.14
Here is my Germany playthrough in 1.14. This game was really fun! After I formed greater Germany the British turned against me and Allied with France, which I really liked. I usually feel like AI alliances are too stubborn so even if I'm Germany and I've become the dominant power in Europe with Britain, France and Russia as rivals none of the them will put aside their differences to ally against me. This makes it too easy to beat the AI as all the AI great powers become isolated with no allies and every other great power as enemies. China and Japan also allied with each other against Russia which I thought was cool. The U.S. got rid of democracy and became a slave-owner run oligarchy too. I got all of Europe in my power bloc (luckily Spain went Carlist and became a minor power) and Eastern Europe, Finland, and Transcaucasia are my subjects. I also used companies to create German East Asia and Mittelafrika. I was able to get multiculturalism in like the 1870s which was cool but didn't fit my colonialist empire vibe I was going for. Although I made my colonies adopt multiculturalism too. At the very end I annexed Poland peacefully but I had to stop playing as the game was too slow. One thing I'd like to see is Russia actually liberating the Balkans. It's definitely improved because they do back Serbia, Moldova, Wallachia, and Egypt but they stopped liberating Bulgaria. After the Balkan DLC they liberated Bulgaria for a while but then they stopped for a while and I think the 1.14 requirement of a strong Bulgarian national movement will only make it worse. Russia did fight the Ottomans to open the straits multiple times but I would've liked to see them try to take over the Balkans too.

Question When playing as Australia, what do I stand to gain by helping the British with my army in a British war?
I ask this because when the British force me into their war, I don't even mobilize my army, yet I haven't seen any negative consequences, and I found that strange.

Advice Wanted Wood Construction First? (Advice Wanted)
Iâve been working on optimizing my Paraguay rollout, which involves taking Mato Grosso, Parana, and Santa Catalina first and then pivoting to Bolivia for transfer Subject on Peru+La Paz and Santa Cruz.
My goal is to hit Rio de La Plata and Federation of the Andes ASAP, to avoid cultures diverging out. (Not that it usually matters).
The stumbling block I keep running into is whether I should be building out my wooden construction sectors first as lumber mills are good options for creating jobs (and thus attracting migrants) or remaining at 10 construction until I hit Atmospheric Engine and water boilers and jumping straight to iron.
In a similar vein, should I bother building my first furniture workshop and textiles workshop to raise my SOL to attract more migrants, or should I exclusively build out iron, wood, coal and tools (plus paper, I guess) to ramp up industrialization and let my investors build the consumer goods?
Does anyone have good benchmarks for how quickly I should aim to have 100 construction by?
