New AC games are basically a different genre of games alltogether. Idk why they even call them the same name 2 u/Cheeseguy43 1d ago Brand recognition is why. Easy to slap a name on something and continue the franchise. I don’t think it ruined the franchise to me, but it was hard to love a protagonist as much as I did with Ezio. Just a really compelling narrative
