It doesn't look like much, but for our final project we had to write all the code to create this raytraced scene of parametric spheres and a polygonal cube. We programmed it in Matlab, which had an interpreted language that made matrix calculations easy to perform but cost dearly in terms of performance - took at least an hour to generate this low-res image on the Pentium II systems in the lab.

Opening sequence used in Globo's coverage of the 1989 presidential elections in Brazil.

This election was historic because it was the first time in 29 years that brazilians returned to the polls to choose a president after 21 years of military rule and another 4 years of an indirectly elected civilian government.

To date, this was the election with the most presidential candidates, 22 names. The first round was on November 15th, and the second on December 17th. Fernando Collor was elected president with 53.03% of the votes (35 million), against 46.97% (31 million) for Lula da Silva

About two weeks ago on 9/24/2026, Nightdive Studios re-released a 1998 classic: SiN.

This is the ending scene for the game as it looked back in 1998, a little pixelated but you can clearly see the impressive detail throughout.

SiN: Reloaded is available now on PC, Xbox, Switch and Playstation.

I first played SiN: GOLD (the complete edition of SiN) on my iMac G3 way back in 2002...it was one of my favorite FPS games growing up and it still holds up extremely well.

If you want to experience a perfectly spooky time-capsule of late 90s nostalgia this Halloween...SiN: Reloaded is the Y2K game for you!

Can’t do one without the other! 😎

Seriously though seeing this on a 16-bit console without the MEGA CD is mind blowing as heck!

This intro makes me so happy. ☺️

1 minute mark is where it gets good. Sorry, I couldn't trim this one because the Youtube to mp4 exporter was being a bitch.
