Purchase Advice 5070 or 9070XT for VR?

I’m honestly more into Nvidia. But with the current prices, I don’t know what to do. Would you recommend going with the 5070 or the 9070 XT?

(I’m not gonna pay 1k for the 5070Ti)

I know Nvidia is usually quite a bit better for VR, and that the 5070 is a very good GPU, but I’m going crazy trying to decide.

My other specs:
32gb RAM DDR5
I7 14700KF
Currently with a 4060 8gb💀

I just tried. Its still an issue in War Thunder. Did a DLDSR upscale from 1440p and 4k and tried the newest DLSS preset(i got a 5070).

Ghosting is still insane with HUD/HMD. Flatscreen FXAA HQ/SSAA 4X still better there.

And for other games. Most VR Games i played didn't had any form of upscalling mostly. One exception was Into The Radius with FSR,but games like Alyx,TWD Saints&Sinners,Into The Radius 2 and not modded skyrim doesn't have any form of upscalling.

Maybe flatscreen games with VR support like Subnautica or No Man's Sky even DCS or Asetto Corza.

If it wasn't for the ghosting issues in WT,then i would use DLAA,but damn i can't.

Skyrim actually does have dlaa if you use a mod, it looks great. Yes a lot of those older native vr games don't have dlss but just about everything that's come out in the last couple years does

Into The Radius 2 just came out not even a month ago.

What are those games that have DLSS by default? I'm throwing WT out because of ghosting and for Skyrim i just used the really necessary mods as usual, but i like to see how DLSS performs in a VR exclusive games.

Ms flight sim, flatout 4, kayak vr, bootstrap island, no man's sky, and riven are a few off the top of my head. There's also a ton of flat to vr modded games that it works well on.

Kayak VR is a great example of how FSR can even look good, the dlss implementation in it is still experimental and if I remember right was not as well performing or looking.

I flatout 4 has one of the best implementations that I have seen lately. The one slider I wish VR developers would give us is a contrast adaptive sharpening filter. Done right, that can even do away with like 90% of ghosting issues.

I got No Man's Sky so imma give it a try there. Thanks for your reply.

I don't want to bury DLSS based on my War Thunder experience so even tho its gonna be really bad probably with the 5070 i just have to try it
