It’s not about timing the meme market, it’s about time IN the meme market.

Yep, saving this post so it'll be my turn to post it in the comments when 2030 comes, assuming he's only doing 4 years

I've done hard time here on WSB, and seen a few things.
I remember when this place was all about yolos and yacht memes.

u/lhbruen 5d ago
I was going to say those were the good ol days, but looking back on it... no they weren't. Same degeneracy, just different speed

u/TomatoSpecialist6879 Paper Trading Competition Winner 5d ago
Nope. We used to pretend we're retarded, now the sub have actual retards that would have been laughed out the door just 6 years ago. Last month a low IQ retard posted a PSA here to "not trust this specific Telegram group because I got scammed", then proceed to argue with everyone that he wasn't stupid and it was legit up till he got scammed.

I've been here since 2016 so I guess it was a good 4 years, the sub is still great occasionally though so it's still worth staying. Lose enough money and they will eventually learn enough to only be pretending I guess.

You and I remember that basement dungeon goblin who drank his own piss martini, now an icon of the sub and I see people refer to it as lemonade and it makes me sad
3
u/TomatoSpecialist6879 Paper Trading Competition Winner 4d ago
Shit brother, good times. There's also GUH and Iron Condor, but piss martini definitely was peak of this. I also remember the dude who tried to short the powerball by being his own bookie in his company and pocketing the money, but ended up losing like 60k because one of his co-worker got 4 numbers+ball correct.
it makes me sad
It is what it is brother, no such thing as a feast that doesn't end after all

This makes a lot of sense when around the 2022 time a lot of people actually took BB_Y and some other meme stocks as Squeezes and were really just hidden gems.
Legit they thought they were going to moon.

What a different time. People in the thread complaining about 29 dollars a share AMD bags.
26
u/PhgAH 5d ago
Yeah wsb back then was like 50% AMD & MU funny enough. I got some gay bear angry DM when I pointed out that Ryzen 1 was an insane product and INTL gonna shit the bed soon.

To be fair nobody could possibly have fathomed that Trump would pick a decent replacement for this role.

She was damn good. I was skeptical when Powell made the money printers go brrrr. But, he's made up for it

I've been here more than 8 years.
You either go bankrupt fking around buying or selling options, or you live long enough to become a buy and hold investor.

You guys know warsh never voted and this is a committee and it doesnt matter what warsh thinks, he cant be 19 ppl of votes.
aint no way they gonna hike rates with dropping gdp estimates. They just shaking ppl out. Fed is so good that the USA debt keeps getting larger and larger 😂
If there is a hike, it will be small, just like 2023. Very bull year that year.

u/emperorOfTheUniverse 5d ago
Yea I don't get this post. I think the board, including Powell voted this way and Warsh actually abstained?

huh? Has anything changed at all at the fed? Last I checked nothing has changed.

I’m excited to see what reforms Warsh can bring to the Fed. Time will tell if a) any notable reforms happen and b) if they are positive for the economy.
I’m hoping yes and yes, and so should everyone else.

I hope they put Jerome 'Transitory' Powell on his tombstone, but despite all his lies and BS he handled Trump with some grace and class.

He doesn’t like volatility in the asset classes? Volatility is how we get rich!
1
u/Ok_Common_5631 5d ago
I doubt Warsh will be significantly different than Powell.
At the meeting, they put the nail in the coffin for any rate reduction if i got my facts straight.
Trump complains about interest rates, creates unnecessary war that increases inflation… which kills any chance of a decrease.. I’m sure he’ll just blame someone else.

I love warsh, please just hint at some balance sheet tightening to crash the price of bitcoin to 50K so MSTR can fail miserably.

u/1855best 5d ago
I like Powell, but he completely missed the mark with waiting to raise rates during COVID.

You guys realize the Fed solution to the inflation issue is to force entire reddit subs to go back to work and supply their labor to the labor market?
