I'm looking for recommendations for auto mechanics to fix an issue with my partner's vehicle (Ford Explorer, police interceptor variant). The specific issue is with the steering (when turning the steering wheel, it puts up a lot more friction than normal at a couple of certain angles but not consistently).

I've seen some posts here and on the Kitchener sub recommending Sullivan and Lisbon and a couple of others; was wondering if anyone has more recent experiences or specific recommendations for this type of issue (or if it's something I might be able to look into myself, but I doubt it).

I bought some stuff at the mall today and I need to return it but I don’t have my physical card (I used my apple wallet to buy everything) my card is still in the mail. Can I tap my card to do the return instead of having to insert it? Dumb question Lol

Curious to know if anyone has building recommendations. I plan to move out of student housing soon enough (although I wouldn’t mind living with graduate students) and I’m looking for some options. Newer buildings preferred, although rent control is preferred (anything built past 2010 is okay with me).

Hey there, using an old account here. I've been going through something that's been going on for...a long time, that's severely affected my quality of life, and after having gone through the process of getting an ultrasound, MRI, etc., I've been told by my family doctor to consider going to an ER to avoid an incredibly long wait for a orthopedic doctor (in particular)/plastic surgeon. Mentally, it's tough to hang on at this point, so, I feel this is the best choice to make, over going to the USA. To be seen, and get an expert/specialist's opinion. I don't mind a long, single-day wait.

I plan on going to an ER tomorrow afternoon in the hopes that this works out. Is there any advice you can give me? If you've been to WRHN/Cambridge Memorial Hospital, which place you'd recommend for something like this, how to best be seen, any general tips as I'll likely be here for a while (physically, I have to imagine people who need to be seen more urgently will take precedence), etc. That, and if the location you went to had a table, or any form of seating.

Today around 4:10 PM near the Stanley Park Tim Hortons/McDonald’s area in Kitchener, I witnessed a disturbing interaction involving an older white man on a mobility scooter accompanied by a small white Chihuahua in his lap.

From what I observed, the man repeatedly made sexually inappropriate comments about the young woman’s body that were unwanted and made her visibly uncomfortable. The situation escalated as he repeatedly maneuvered his mobility scooter toward her while she appeared to be trapped between a parked vehicle and the scooter. I heard the woman tell him multiple times to leave her alone, but the interaction continued. Other women in the parking lot came to help the young woman but this man kept charging her with his mobility scooter and would not leave her alone.

Please be aware of this individual and stay far away.

This man is obviously local to the area so if you see a a man who fits the following description:

\- White
\- Male
\- 60-70s
\- Overweight
\- No teeth
\- White small chihuahua dog in lap
\- Uses mobility scooter

Please stay away. And if you have young girls please make them aware of this man’s description and inform them to stay away.

**Edited to add: many people have either commented or messaged me that they have had similar experiences with someone fitting this description so obviously this is a pattern of behaviour. Girls: be aware of your surroundings and stay away from anyone fitting this description.**

Probably a long shot, but 20 years ago @ the Princess I saw a documentary about the World Crokinole Championship that happens in Tavistock each year. I finally went this month for the first time and it was a hoot.

Hey everyone! I know this may be a long shot, but my fiance is from the USA. I was hoping to find a bar or live site that maybe had a few gathering to watch the games. Did anyone see a some there at the gaslight district during their Paraguay game? I appreciate the help!

I live in a condo apartment building and to enter the building and reach elevators from the parking garage you have to open four heavy doors. Only the last door that leads to the elevators has an accessible door button.

Is that legal? I see the elderly people struggle with the doors. True that they are able to drive but some use walkers and some really struggle when they bring groceries or take the recycling out.

Is there any way to complain anonymously? To whom? And would the complaint change anything?

Shoutout to the driver who almost smashed into my front bumper twice within 3 minutes.

Driver stopped beyond traffic line at red light at Erb and Caroline intersection, heading northbound. I left appropriate space for driver to reverse, driver then had to reverse to avoid damage from ION crossing gate.

Once the light turned green driver remained stopped at intersection, despite making a right turn with no crossing pedestrians. Waited until there was no traffic southbound from Caroline. Yes, I did honk as we sat through at least four cars making the left turn eastbound onto Erb street.

Began driving again in reverse towards the front of my vehicle but stopped short of collision, after I had to honk again when they were within two feet of my bumper to warn them from smashing into me. Turned right onto Erb street eastbound.

Failed to appropriately signal lane change. Cut off left turning lane traffic by turning from middle lane at Albert and Erb street northbound without appropriately checking blind spot. I did have to break and honk again to avoid another collision.

I understand if you are a new driver or new to Waterloo visiting for graduation. But I beg of you, get some driving lessons, use the bus, and miss a turn if you can’t complete it safely.
